Publisher's summary

“Napoleon Hill was one of America’s great, influential thinkers who continues to have an enormous impact today.” - Steve Forbes, editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine

Bestselling author Napoleon Hill reveals the seven principles of good that allow us to triumph over obstacles...and find success.

Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.

Critic reviews

"My simple faith is this: If we are created in God’s image, then we were born to create, and to create is to prosper. [This] previously unpublished Napoleon Hill manuscript.... I’ve read it and recommend it." (Rich Karlgaard, Publisher of Forbes magazine)

Hill’s words count - Sharon’s not necessary

Interesting book and insights from one of the most profound thinkers we have the privilege to learn from. Setting the insights into action will be a lifelong endeavor. Written in the mid 1930 the language and context of Hill’s life has to be taken into consideration. Devil? Hypnotic-rhythm? The ideas may be all one needs to create a remarkable life for one’s self. And explain why most of us don’t. I will definitely re-listen to parts of this again.

The biggest fault with this presentation is Sharon Lechter’s constant interjections. She should have saved that for her own book... or at least to the end so the listener can turn her off. I wonder who’s idea it was for her to reinterpret Hill’s work this way. I’m not saying she had nothing to add... but it made me grimace every time I had to hear ‘her wisdom’.

Enlightening!

Excellent performance! I appreciate Sharon's interjections. They really helped to clarify and relate the material to modern circumstance. This book brings a coherent presentation to abstract thoughts that are loosely held in society today.

Editor annotations ruin experience

The incessant unnecessary interjections of the editor’s annotations are profoundly annoying and just about ruin the listening experience.

WOW! Better than Think & Grow Rich

Incredible follow up to Think & Grow Rich and perhaps able to equally stand on its own. Thankfully we don’t have to have one or the other and we have both masterpieces… Many great lessons to incorporate to immediately.

Best book of all time

Changed my life as we speak, I wish everyone read this or heard it, from the traits to eating habits these suggestions to outwit the devil echo throughout every powerful figure today. The idea of the wanderer was talked about recently by the Top G (Andrew Tate)when he was referring to Forrest Gump and how he lived his life like the feather at the beginning if the movie.
