I have always been a skeptic about mindfulness, meditation, etc. I have struggled with mild anxiety and depression and most of my life has been wasted waiting for something good to happen. I ordered this audiobook and have begun to follow the 90-day mindfulness guide and already I can see some changes in my mood and attitude toward my life. I am better able to focus and get much less overwhelmed in public spaces.
I am not a native English, and narrator's calming voice is wonderful to listen. I GREATLY recommend this audiobook because it helped me calm my thoughts and focus on positive things in my life!
This book is a great help for everyone who wants to learn how to handle the daily stress in life, and how to stop worrying about almost everything. You'll learn how to live a less stress and happy life. This book offers great advice and techniques on how to find peace and calm everyday. I highly recommend this book.
I had no experience with meditation in the past, and Mindfulness for Beginners proved to be a great introduction. The audiobook explains how mindfulness helps you to become a whole, happy and more satisfied person, and how to find inner peace and keep calm in stressful moments. I find that mindfulness meditation is not so difficult to incorporate in life, as I initially thought, if you are persistent and follow well explained "90-day mindfulness guide".
I really enjoyed this short trip down a path to better emotional and psychological health. The world is so hectic and I try to check out texts like this as often as possible to keep myself in a peaceful state.
Simon Gray has put together a TREMENDOUSLY supportive guide for anxiety sufferers and those dealing with depression and other forms of stress. Phil Baker's voice is so soothing. I found myself wishing that it wasn't about to come to an end!
If you need a boost or a quick shot of confidence that you CAN get through this hectic life, get this one. I'm glad it's in my library collection of great titles.
Yes, I enjoy listening to a book and closing my eyes and just really listening to every word I hear. I also like being able to pause it and pick up when I have time if I have to leave as apposed to a lecture you could attend.
Finding ways to apply mindfulness into your daily life. I especially enjoyed the "mindful eating" portion of the book. I do cling to comfort food.
I learnt how to become more relaxed and calm. I have bad anxiety and finding ways to lower my stress levels and anxiety are very handy. Just simple little things you can do including mindful eating.
it brought together a bunch of info which I appreciate. I just wanted it to go deeper more personal per my personal preferences. I want to loo into some of the studies he referenced in the book.
By reading this book I have learned lots of proven strategies and techniques to improve my life. It is true that we have the real power to change our life and relationships for the better. I am the kind of person who is always on a high level stress, and if you're like me, this is a great book for you to be able to relieve your stress and anxiety. Mindfulness is slowing down, paying attention and appreciating all the things that are around you. With the help of this book you will be able to appreciate that there are so many things in life that you can connect to instead of the stress and anxieties in your life.
This a great introduction audiobook for all of the people unfamiliar with Eastern philosophy. Mindfulness is training yourself to pay attention in a specific way, so you are not bothered with anything that has happened in the past or that might be coming in the future. But to be able concentrate on the present moment and enjoy in it. Everything in the guide is explained in a simple and easily understandable way. 90-day mindfulness guide is also an awesome bonus material that will be useful to anyone interested in practising mindfulness. I give 5 stars to this audiobook!
Phil Baker did a great job narrating this book. His voice really pulled me into learning about how to be more mindful. It's not a subject I was totally unfamiliar with, but this book covers a lot more in-depth benefits and practical applications. Great book.
