    "Not what I was expecting"
    Is there anything you would change about this book?

    The narrator. I believe this narrator needs to learn the difference between a sound booth and recording in the street. Honestly, I can usually find many good things to say about the professionalism of the narrators I have heard in previous audiobooks I have listened to. With that being said, I have found many great professional voices I have enjoyed....This unfortunately was not one of them. The book may do much better if the author were to find a better narrator, or if they are fond of this one, send them to narration classes to get the proper training. Yes, it was that bad. I have to be honest.


    Would you be willing to try another book from Doug West Ph.D.? Why or why not?

    Yes, as long as it is done by a different narrator....and one that understands the true art of narration.


    What didn’t you like about Gregory Diehl’s performance?

    Hmm, between the loud barking dogs, cars driving by, and all of the background noise including a surprising half hidden burp and robotic voice? That would be a toughie..


    If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    I just listened to a person that calls themselves a narrator make a mockery out of the art of narration. Please do not go there.


    Any additional comments?

    The good qualities the audiobook has going for it. The author touched on a lot of really good quality points. They gave valuable insight into marketing strategies and the history and understanding of the audiobook. I would have liked to see the author touch on more marketing strategies and less history, but the author does offer very good points. I love audiobooks, but I think this is one time I would have rather of read the book and skipped the narrator.
