Publisher's summary

Creative writing is any writing that goes beyond the boundaries of ordinary formal, journalistic, scholarly, or technological types of literature, usually characterized by the emphasis on narrative art, character development, and the use of literary conventions, or the different traditions of prose and poetry.

Due to the lack of definition, writing such as feature stories can be considered as creative writing, even though they fall under journalism, because the content of the features focuses specifically on narrative and character development.

Fictional and nonfictional works fall within this category, including novels, biographies, short stories, and poems. Within academic settings, creative writing is usually split into fiction and poetry groups, with an emphasis on writing in an original style, rather than imitating preexisting tropes such as crime or horror.

Writing for the screen and stage - screenwriting and playwriting - are often taught separately, but they also fall within the category of creative writing.

A must listen for any aspiring author!

We want the best coach, the best mentor and the best advice that we can get. Mark Shaw was obviously there, as a journalist. He is a fantastic resource, authoring over 24 audio-book (wow), to help you navigate the complex and ever-changing world of being an author and the audio-book publishing industry.

This is a beautiful, true story about a young !

This is a beautiful, true story about a young woman who has experienced poverty and violence, yet has discovered the importance of education as a way to survive and live up to the potential she knew but was robbed of.

Super useful information!

That audio-book is exactly what I expected. It breaks down everything to follow in ten steps to massively increase the chance to get your audio-book published. It's not so much a decorated guide as a complete guide to decorate your audio-book and then release it.

A sensitive documentation of amazing success !

It was disturbing and difficult to listen at times. I don’t want to put spoilers in a Investigate, but let’s just say if I could have jumped through the part and called the police on Shawn I would have. Even now!
