Very Comprehensive!

I got this audiobook through Audible as I have been considering writing and publishing for years and wanted to bring an end to the procrastination!
With the information provided I am confident that I can become and succeed as an author and publisher. I can’t wait to get started and will be referring back to this constantly I imagine.
I found the chapter dealing with the different platforms for distribution and selling your book especially interesting

I liked how the author weighs the advantages and disadvantages of each step in the procedure while ensuring the reader that they may accomplish their primary objectives. I also liked how the author covered every step in the process, from planning ahead of time to selecting a genre for a specific target audience to following the creative process, which included outlining, creating illustrations and graphics for the book's cover and interior, stressing the significance of selecting a title carefully, to publishing, distributing, and marketing finished books. It is significant to note that the author thoroughly defines each section and then reviews it after each chapter.

I have listened to this book twice. Yes, so much is involved into publishing. Autour did a great job to explain in details what's takes to become successful publisher. Also investment playing a big part in this business opportunity. However financial part is not really problem, because you can start from mini projects and moving forward. Being an independent publisher who recently started my own self-publishing business and still learning so many new things, I found this audiobook very helpful and informative to recap all the steps and gain further insights into how things can be done more efficiently. There are so many things that need to be taken care of while writing and publishing your book such as keyword research, finding the right and profitable topic, creating a good outline, excellent cover, intriguing book title and description, launching, marketing etc and if any of the steps are not done correctly, your book and business will suffer. Luckily, this book packages everything you need to know and take care of while starting your own publishing business so that you can be successful and profitable. The author has done his due diligence and research in providing all the necessary information in a systematic and practical approach. Overall, this is an excellent resource for anyone who is interested in starting his own publishing business. Definitely recommend.
