This is the finest audio book on self hypnosis ever published because it really works.
Are you kidding? I'd try another book from Ted in a heartbeat. I smoked like a bandit for years and my brilliant brother led me into self hypnosis and I quit smoking on the spot. I have not had a cigarette in eight years and I will NEVER smoke again. But he can also get you to lose weight, get over fears of things like tight spaces or heights and perhaps most importantly, he can help with pain management. And a million other things.
Ted's voiceis soothing and easy to listen to.
I wish everyone would try Ted's techniques because they truly can change your life. Forever.
I'm happy beyond words that my brother finally recorded this so that other people can benefit from what he knows how to do so well. He's gifted and that's about all there is to that!

Ted Benton's voice is easy on the ears and his knowledge and skill on the subject became very apparent and impossible to ignore. I have dabbled slightly on and off with other self hypnosis books over the years and they mostly seemed gimmicky and ineffectual. How to Transform Your Life Forever with Self Hypnosis has now left me speechless in its authenticity and effectiveness.
I have not heard anything else by Mr Benton, but I would surely love to.
To get the effect, listen to it twice. I listed once in on an afternoon off and the 2nd time as I was going to sleep for the night. When I awoke I noticed that I felt unusually relaxed compared to recent days because I am currently separating from my wife which has been extremely stressful. So relaxed in fact that it was 100% undeniable and quite Spooky.
This book covers a wide range of conditions and issues that are perfect subjects for self-hypnosis. Hence applicable to many people, both health and wellness professionals who work with clients and patience that seek help, as well as individuals who seek self-help and continuous well-being.
All applications are addressed in depth and very specifically, yet with an easy, most relaxing and suitable delivery.
A fabulous gem of knowledge, transmitted in such an effective way that it will certainly impact every listener, if not - as indicated in the title - change their lives completely. Well done!
Let me preface this by stating I did not purchase this audio book to learn about self-hypnosis or the benefits that can be derived from its use. I have read many books on the subject and have used self-hypnosis for many years. What I was looking for is an audio book that I could use to execute a self-hypnosis session. That said the author provides a good overview of self-hypnosis principals, benefits, examples of use, etc. So it can be used by a beginner to learn about self-hypnosis or someone like me who has experience but needs the audio instructions.
So from that perspective I found the book to be very useful. The authors voice took a little getting used to at first, but as I got accustomed to it, I found it worked well to induce a self-hypnotic state. While many of the sessions are broken into very specific subject matter like quitting smoking and losing weight, there are other mode general subjects like reducing anxiety that can be used for many purposes. I found the one regarding becoming a better golfer to be very effective.
My only real criticism is the sessions are a bit short and somewhat rushed feeling. Each begins with some basic breathing exercises that work well, but should take longer and go more slowly. First timers should get the concepts down and then spend some additional time going thought the breathing to get relaxed before stating a session.
Other than that, the book is one of the best audio books I have tried for helping someone to learn about and practice self hypnosis. I can highly recommend its use.
You have to listen to it again and again in order to receive the maximum benefit this book promises. Not all of it applies to everyone but the parts that do apply are well worth listening to several times.

this was the first self hypnosis I have ever done and I got completely addicted to it I think I own 4 different audios for self hypnosis now
Excellent program! Mr. Benton clearly explains the workings of hypnosis, and its application to a plethora of issues. His "non-academic" approach makes the "Art" of hypnosis easy to understand and utilize.
Mr. Benton's engaging dialogue and enthusiasm makes this "almost three-hour" audio, a "welcome" listen. Anyone interested in hypnosis, and it's applications, would benefit from this program.
I don't smoke so I would like a easy way to skip this chapter.

The format does not allow to choose a particular session independently from the others. Meaning, you cannot just list to one of the sessions. Unless you manually stop and start the session, you are prompted to listen to all of the sessions.
