As someone who has only learned negative attitudes as a way to motivate and push myself into what I think I should be or do, I had not only created my own long-standing depression, but also extreme and repeated self-sabotage. This meditation was the first self-help recording that I had listened to in my attempt to turn my life around. Despite what I intellectually knew about why I was behaving a certain way and that the supposed answer was to "love yourself", I didn't know where to start... or why my therapist even thought I didn't love myself. "You need to have forgiveness and compassion for yourself", she said several years ago. I had eventually stopped seeing her, as I saw no improvement in my behavior after many years of talk. After a life changing event, I knew there was no running from my issues and I set out to undertake in my own healing. I came upon a book that helped me understand that everyone has a relationship with themselves, whether aware or not, there were attitudes, expectations and assumptions that dictated how life was going to be handled. For the first time I saw just how damaging my inner dialog was. I learned the path to healing would be to re-parent myself. How was I going to do that? Well, this tape was a wonderful stepping stone for getting me in touch with my inner child. For the first time I was able to acknowledge her and miraculously, compassion and forgiveness just came naturally. It wasn't that I didn't love myself, I had just never been taught what healthy love looked like. If you are trying to form a conscious relationship with yourself, having difficulty with the concept of "loving yourself", or have problems accepting that vulnerability is not a reflection of self-worth, I feel this tape could help you frame things in a way that will allow you to see yourself in a different brighter light. We buy so many books and majority of them, albeit with intentions to help, lead us down the path that inevitably has us focusing on what is wrong, how it was wrong, why it was wrong, etc. If you think about it with some level of clarity, we are always focused on the WRONG! Louise Hay is different in that. Majority of HER material is focused on bringing you OUT of the state of misery rather than getting in their and dancing with your pain n immersing ur self in it.
This small yet powerful audio is wonderful. It works! I also love that I don't have to sit their for 4-8 hours to get to the meat of the book. Even though our psyche some how feels we are getting more when we buy a full length audiobook. This is not an audiobook. It's meditations. That WORK! If you want someone to talk to you for 8 hours to hv a pity party with this probably isn't for you. But if u r sick n tired of this "self help" industry and a guru for everything at every turn and just want something tht work NOW then pick this one up. You won't regret it. Play it often, even everyday in the beginning and enjoy the healing.

I did this meditation and I expected it to be short, simple and easy. However, it was VERY in-depth and was a far deeper reaching meditation than I expected. I highly recommend it. I will tell you it's deep and will take you deep into yourself.
Struggling with forgiving family members for very old wounds... couldn't sleep. Listened to this 2-3 times. In a row. This book relaxed me enough to allow me to start a process that I know will take some time. It stopped the wheel-churning that night. Thanks Louise Hay. Bless you.

"Good, but fast in places"
Usual Louise Hay visualisation type work and the content is good. I personally found it moved too fast at times and since the idea is your eyes are closed and your immersed in the regression she's guiding you through, you can't just pause the recording. She does recommend doing the exercises a few times in a row, which I've not had a chance to do. Perhaps repetition is the key.
Loved this, really has helped me to actually feel love for myself and to forgive people that have hurt me. Visualisation is such a powerful thing and if repeated it can really clear some of that anger and resentment out of your life. Highly recommended.
"Steps to Happiness"
In isolation very useful meditation tools for loving oneself authentically. In conjunction with How To Heal a deep and meaningful lifelong support, helping to change unhelpful self beliefs for love and compassion.
"Takes you deep inside yourself"
I was in tears, this really takes you on a journey within yourself, to meet and accept and love all of the various selves over the course of your life t time.
I really feel this is going to help me a great deal. its early days, but it's already having an effect. I would highly recommend this to everyone! !!!!
Amazing experience meeting with my inner child. I cried throughout. Not out of pain. More out of awareness, understanding and love for myself. Louise is an amazing person.
"Hmm, not sure . . ."
This may not be for everyone. If you're open to trying new things, and open to self healing, then this could be useful, but we in the UK may find it a little over the top. I felt a bit silly doing the exercises at first, but as I went along, they were actually quite effective.
