Well, in terms of sleeping aids, it's up there with other holistic approaches I've tried. It is a soothing audiobook, and one that made me sleepy quickly.
I was able to fall asleep, and stay asleep, the first time I listened to this meditation. Being that it was a weekday, this was very helpful for the long day ahead. As one knows, getting enough sleep naturally raises your energy levels - something that proved beneficial to me once I finally got enough sleep this week. I liked the narration, soundtrack and the actual meditation. Nicely done.
the first time I tried this I didn't fall asleep because I was still thinking too much but the music was soft and put me to sleep. the second and following times I fall asleep before the last finishes talking!
The narration occupies maybe thirty minutes of this audiobook. The rest is ambient music or noise that one could find freely available in various places.
As for the thirty minutes of guided meditation, I find the narrator's voice distracting and slightly condescending. The content is mediocre. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this. Better to go with the various options for children (Christianne Kerr has several nice titles).
