It's more than a book. It's a way of life.
Alcoholics Anonymous - the Big Book has served as a lifeline to millions worldwide. First published in 1939, Alcoholics Anonymous sets forth cornerstone concepts of recovery from alcoholism and tells the stories of men and women who have overcome the disease. This is the most widely used resource for millions of individuals in recovery.

Great book, terrible narration. Filled with errors.
The guy needs to learn how to read. An absolutely abysmal job.
There are so many errors in the narration of this book, a new version should be released.
We have been sober for over 15 years. We have been familiar with the big book, but we are not very good about reading. We have learned so much about ourselves from listening to this book. He follows along with the book he has had for years. He listens to it over and over. There is so much that he missed over the years when we did not have the audio version. I recommend this book if you struggle with alcohol or are close to someone who does. You will be able to identify with the stories in the book I am sure. We recommend it to anyone who perfers to listen instead of reading.
They are of equal importance to me! But I like the convienance of being able to listen to it!
Great book, it saves lives :)
Yes, It is a foundation all on Earth should read.
First page, last page, and all inbetween.
This was my life too.
Yeah, I like romance novels. So what??
Why did they get a used car salesman to pitch such important, heartfelt information??
One reader said that the reader was "careless". I found him to be believable. To me his voice embodied the voice of the 1940s alcoholic who was once self centered and ego driven. Somehow across the decades he is now sharing how he became willing to accept his powerlessness over alcohol and the steps he took...
The message is timeless and I am grateful to have the "big book" on audio -
I have been in AA for 30months (with a sponsor and 100% sober) but absolutely hate to pick up a book and read because I get headaches when I read. (because of this I have never completed reading the AA "big book"
I am doing fantastic with my program and these girls keep asking me to sponsor them but I did not want to because even though my life is so much more "happy, joyous, and free" I felt unqualified to sponsor in AA if I had never complete the "big book".
This is the most wonderful gift!!!! (I did realize that I had heard most everything covered in rehab and meetings, but it was still very important for me to get this audio) I can't wait until they get the most new version on audio!
