Publisher's summary

I know who you are. When Riley first gets the postcard tucked into her bag, she thinks it's a joke. Then she finds a birth certificate for a girl named Jane Elizabeth O'Leary hidden inside her baby book.

Riley's parents have always been pretty overprotective. What if it wasn't for her safety... but fear of her finding out their secret? What have they been hiding?

The more Riley digs for answers, the more questions she has. The only way to know the truth? Find out what happened to Jane O'Leary.

Annoying

Annoyed by the narrator due to her male voice impersonation. Boring and no personality for character.
The main character constantly chews the inside of her cheek or bites her lips for blood and the amount of bile mentioned is a bit much.

Gave up

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A better book

Has See Jane Run turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Read a better book

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from See Jane Run?

All of it

Any additional comments?

Very contrived and implausible. I just didn't like it. Finally gave up maybe half way because I realized I just didn't care what happened to Jane.

Who is the audience?

Perhaps the target audience is 5th graders, and if so, the book is fine. If not, then this is the worst book I have ever suffered through. The story line, the (non)sequence of events, the vocabulary, the similes.....awful
