An Extraordinary Amateur Sleuth

I enjoyed book 8 of the "Sheridan Hendley Mystery" series. Sheridan was drawn into a murder which occurred in the high school's soccer field. The story was short. The path that Sheridan and her husband took in order to solve the murder was convoluted. The characters were intelligent. I liked the family and friend relationships which added to my enjoyment of the tale. Alyssa Baumann's narration was good. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Another good mystery story

Secrets and Storms, Another Murder is the 8th in the Sheridan Hendley Mystery series by Christa Nardi. No parent wants to hear of a shooting at their child’s high school, but thankfully no children were hurt. The man who was shot and killed at the old soccer field is the father of 2 students. Later, the man’s son comes to Sheridan and asks for her help. First, there are a lot of secrets to unravel. I love the characters and how they have developed over the series. They are so relatable and believable in their interactions (such as Maddie looking for colleges). The narration by Alyssa Baumann is great. She brings the characters and story to life. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.

This is book 8 in this series. It's the first one I listened to or read, but it won't be the last.

Sheridan Hendley is living her life as a wife, step mother, part time college professor, animal shelter volunteer, and amateur sleuth. One morning there's a shooting at her kid's school campus. She gets involved in the investigation helping to find the culprit. Will she find the person responsible before they find her? Listen for yourself to find out. Now I need to go back to book 1.



I enjoyed the narration by Alyssa Baumann.

Another Murder Mystery to Solve

If you enjoy a good murder mystery to solve you might very well enjoy Book 8 in this series along with the first 7. This story had a complex murder to solve. The main characters were well developed in the first book of the series and have just continued to grow and evolve throughout into book 8. Although the main characters grow and are common throughout the series, each book can be read on its own

The narration adds to the drama of the story. Great job. My only problem with the book ended too soon. I throughly enjoy the author’s novels.

Another murder mystery to solve!

No matter how much she tries no not be involved she always ends up in the mix! Another great mystery, love all the ones I have read in this series! I love the characters and watching them grow and evolve in each book. Great Narration as always! Ready for another!

Excellent Mystery

Secrets and Storms, Another Murder is book 8 in A Sheridan Mystery by Christa Nardi. I enjoy this series and I especially like the continuity of characters and the storyline. Maddie is now a junior in High School and when there is a shooting st the soccer field, parents are worried. I thought that it was interesting how the students were effected. The author unfolded the story perfectly and I always enjoy trying to solve the case before the characters do. This series and especially Secrets and Storms, Another Murder is a not to be missed audio book.

Truly a rewarding delight!

Secrets, they rear their ugly heads at the worst possible times and in the worst possible ways… when shots are fired on the soccer field at Clover Hill High, it’s not long before Sheridan’s involved in another investigation... Having all my favorite elements, “Secrets and Storms, Another Murder”, is an absolute WIN! The plot is smooth as silk with a mystery as captivating as it is intriguing! The characters, both familiar series favorites who continue to grow, and those added specifically for this story, are all so delightfully drawn and developed! I really felt for Paul, the son of this story’s victim. I don’t want to get into details for fear of giving anything away, but let me just say that our author’s ability to pull deep feelings out of this listener is at times astounding! Tissues were required! Lips zipped! Beautifully narrated, I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this audiobook performance! Five fantastic stars!

A short but great cozy mystery

This book is a little shorter than most of the series. However, it covers a kot and still keeps you guessing. I have enjoyed this series.

The barration is great and consistent from book to hook.
