I would listen to "Introvert" again so I can continue to practice the many lessons and exercises taught in this Audio Book. I have learned who I really am inside, and why I act the way I do. I have discovered that I am an Introvert.
The most memorable moment that I learned by listening to "Introvert" is From Chapter 1: "How to Succeed in Challenging Situations." It was in the part when Joshua Mackey talked about Networking, and how this is one way an Introvert can succeed because "it uses the written word." I am a person who likes to write things down. For instance, I would rather text someone instead of speaking on the phone. I would rather send emails then speaking as well. Ace explains that an Introvert can "try to reach people this way." Well, I am a big fan of Club Pogo. It's an online gaming sight, and I have made many friends just by using the chat feature. I do exactly what Ace suggests, and that is, I read what people are chatting about, and I try to include myself in their conversation. Of course, it is only if it's a conversation that I can relate to, and if it's not on a personal level.
I love Joshua Mackey's performance as always, and that is because he brings excitement to Ace's writing. When I listen to him, I concentrate so much better because of the way he speaks.
The one idea that I will remember is one of the questions that you can use to ask yourself if you are an Introvert. "Do you like to relax with yourself after you've spent time with others?" I know this is a question, and not an idea, but I love retiring to my room after company leaves. Of course, I answered yes to this question.
When trying to make friends as someone who is an Introvert, I will remember this statement, "Stay true to yourself." That is one of the most important things to remember.
This is a great audio that gives some very helpful tips on maximizing your potential as an introvert. It walks you through how to determine your personality type and then how to utilize your inner strengths along with how to make a plan to accomplish your goals. Great information at a very inexpensive price! Highly recommended!
I always thought that because I was an introvert, I could never truly have a successful life. This book made me realize just how wrong I was.
Through this book I discovered was to grow as an introvert, what type of jobs were best for my personality and how to deal with large events by planning ahead. I now have the confidence to put myself out there and really accomplish all that I set out to do. Thanks!
Introverts are known to be quiet and keep to themselves while extroverts are outspoken and sociable. Good news is that even the introverts can succeed in this modern world and this book helps you and guides you to achieve that. Introverts face a lot of challenges like making friends, networking, health issues and feeling unnoticeable among other challenges. This book offers you solutions that make this challenges easier to manage. Been an extrovert I now understand the introverts better and I can now relate to them easily. I have already recommended this book to some of my friends whom I know are introverts. A very interesting book that I would listen to at any other time. Thanks Ace!
This book is very good in helping introverts with any issues they may have or trying to figure out if you are an introvert or extrovert. I loved reading this book and I think that everyone else who will be listening to this book will like it.
I got this book because I wanted to understand more about the introvert's mind. I am more of an extrovert but I married a man who is almost completely an introvert, doesn't like going out and doing things or being in crowds or feeling intimidated by others. Introversion is not an easy thing to deal with in a world where there is so much going on, where society almost insists that you deal with them. I know this is not something that introverts are comfortable with. I recommend this book to people who have a problem with being an introvert and need to strengthen their minds and hearts to be able to function happily in a very extroverted world.
As an introvert, it can be difficult to feel heard and understood in a world obsessed with constant information and connection. This book does an excellent job of not only explaining what an introvert is but also how to use your strengths to adapt to a largely extroverted world. This book is crucial for anyone who wants to learn to leverage their strengths for success in life and relationships.
Being an introvert is difficult in a social world. McCloud shows that introverts can thrive, even when surrounded by extroverts. His tips show you how to use introversion to your advantage and focus on your most powerful asset--you. This audio book shows that introverts have strengths in areas that even they don't realize.
It's nice to find a book that celebrates the unique gifts that introverts offer a predominately extroverted culture.
I like the practical exercises that can help us overcome our reticence in order to make a difference. There are plenty of tips that can help, including how to make friends, how to succeed in business and social situations, and how to choose a job that works well with an introverted personality.
This is a book well done.
it would be better if he didn't spend the whole time trying to get you to buy all the other crap he's written.
"Very useful and not only for Introverts!"
It focuses on Introvercy but not in a bad way - it shows that introvertic people can be as succesful and as effective as Extraverts despite they preferences to be on their own.
The part about how to be succesfull at the job interview was really useful - it's not very common to find useful information about job hunting for Introverts.
Social Media Manager mentioned as a perfect job for introvertic people - I completly agree, I'm a social manager myself! ; )
Not really - it's an informational book with a bunch of useful tips but I have a hard time seeing it making someone laugh or cry.
It's a very short yet useful book about how to approach daily life as an Introvert. It covers a bunch of the most important cases like how to strike a small talk, how to ask questions, how to build and have a succesfull relationship. It encourages Introverts to share their creative ideas even if it's difficult and many, many more. Check it out if you are an Introvert or just want a book about how to deal with people!
"Interesting and Insightful"
I have been told that I am 50/50 introvert/extrovert which I found extremely intriguing and so I bought this audio book to gain a little more understanding of my introverted side.
I really enjoyed this book's content it gave some real insight into the characteristics of an introverted person in a way that I could identify with especially about keeping emotions to myself. It has helped me to identify strengths of my character but also the weaknesses and areas I can improve. Really interesting audio book.
"Introverts can be successful too!"
I've always been fairly introverted and it means that I sometimes struggle in social situations and in the workplace. There are a lot of books out there which aim to turn introverts into extroverts but I wasn't looking to change myself, I was just looking to reach my full potential and achieve what I knew I could!
That's why this book was so great! It focused on strategies to improve, rather than change and I've really seen results. I'd really recommend this book to anyone who feel like they can get more out of life, as I know I definitely have!
"Introvert - your inner strenght!"
I would recommend “Introvert: discover how to use inner strength to thrive and flourish in modern world” by Ace McCloud to my friends. Firstly, because many people think that introversion is negative. If you prepare speak one-to-one instead of group, like spend time in quiet way and find out that being towards people drains your energy you are introvert. Secondly, “Introvert…” helps you to use your skills to improve your success and faced to challenging situations. Making friends are very challenging because they are struggling to open up. You can work in your conversational skills and adapt to social circle, you can networking if you are too shy. It is a many groups online that you can join.
The most memorable moment is when McCloud gives descriptions of different types of introvert. It is very interesting point, because helps to reduce stigma that introverts are just shy and tend to avoid people. They are not only like that, they can be great carer, manager, chairmen, writer and even can took risk more often than others. The author admitted that he is introvert and looking for his career as something that he really enjoys. The best jobs for introvert are: work with animals, historian, court reporter, astronomer, social media manager, film editor, medical record technician.
I enjoy Joshua Mackey's performance because he can create relaxing and nice atmosphere during reading. His voice helps you to take a rest after busy day and reduce stress.
The great news that introvert can really benefit from being alone, can discover their inner skills and concentrate more on life. For most people being alone is too boring and frustration. They are able to work alone and can be great writer or film director. Like J.K. Rowling or Steven Spielberg.
The general "Introvert.." introduces good exercises to finding a right job, that is right fit for you. To achieve success introvert must to practice how to be good listeners, develop relationships, learning how to talk with others. Great tip that can help with that is set small goals, small talk with strangers, practice kindness and gratitude. Don’t try to impress others, be yourself and discover special talents
Being an extrovert myself, I had no idea how it feels like being an introvert. I am a person who loves socialising with other people especially with friends. Sometimes, I also prefer some peace and quiet but I never considered myself an introvert. I don’t think that’s the way it works. Although it makes me wonder, what certain aspects make you one?
Since this subject got me really curious and I really wanted to understand a little bit more about it, I decided to buy this book and educate myself. It is actually quite an interesting topic! I learned that quiet people have the loudest thoughts and I may have to agree with that.
I recommend this book to everyone. It is definitely a good read! It’s not only for introverts but for extroverts as well!
"Helpful & Inspiring Read for the Introvert"
Nice, easy and helpful
he is alway winning
they have all manner of names to describe Introverts. I am not one, but i was curious to find out what makes one. I bought this audio book thinking i would get my question answered but i got even more. the book even covered extroverts and the history too. I need not say more. if you need to escape the "shy" zone, then this is the book you should be looking for.
"Inspiration for introverts in an extrovert world"
As a strongly introverted human I understand the feeling that there is something wrong with you because you don't want to live in a social whirl, feel drained in large group situations and want to take time alone to recharge. Introvert is an inspirational audiobook, designed to encourage the introvert to see and know their strength and then to use them to succeed both socially and in the work place. It's whole premise is that introversion isn't a negative that stops you doing things, but rather a personality trait that allows you to be really good at a skill set that many extroverts might struggle with. I found it very encouraging and affirming, and I particularly enjoyed the section about career choices.
