Jude, a hard-working widower and father, has always done his best to try and scrape by and make ends meet. When opportunity knocks, he and his best friends thought easy money was coming their way. Tornadoes had struck Missouri hard, and there were not enough people to help with the cleanup. The four-man crew was contracted to go down and clean up the trees that littered the town. When a chemical dump takes place, the dead will rise from their graves! Jude and his friends now must do everything they can to make it home safely as the apocalypse begins using the only weapons they have available to them. If you love Romero and The Return of the Living Dead zombies, this book cannot be passed up.

Great story, great voice acting, and did I say great??
This is a very entertaining listen!
I wasn't sure how an audible book and I would get along... Having never used one and being a very visual person I wasn't sure. However I really enjoyed hearing this book. I was even able to remember what went on in between my trip, although I was reading an actual book as well. To me that says a lot if I was still inside the book with a week in between hearing it and finishing it. I enjoyed meeting the characters and look forward to reading the rest of the series. Thank you to Mike Evans for being kind enough to let me have a code to try this out ! :)
Great fast past zombie story.. A new way to kill the undead grab your chainsaw and go get some zombies. Had a old school way for how the zombies were come about. I love this book lots of zombie auction and gore . The characters are well developed makes you love some and hate some
Give the book a try you will love it
Jude and his cohorts are just average people like you and me that in the face of a tragedy step up to become heros. I liked that this book had good character development. The plot was not to predictable and plenty of oh no moments. One thing I didn't like and maybe it's just the way the characters are is that there was a lot of things repeated or said back to back in a slightly different way by one person and then the next. It made me want to say "yes that's obvious" it also took a while to get to the use of chainsaws,. The whole reason for the title. But I knew the author had to build the backstory. I just wanted to jump right into the action but that wouldn't have worked for this story. The narrator is AMAZING!!! The way he does all the different voices for the characters is awesome. I loved listening to him and totally was caught up in the story. I am looking forward to the next installment.
Spay, neuter, adopt, and train. Don't buy, surrender, or breed. Be a good person and carry a weapon just in case.
I could not get through the story due to the narrators. Bad acting. Winey. If could get mature adults to read then maybe.
Mike evans did an awesome job with the story and the narration was right on, loved the dedication of the main character to get back to his family and u can't wait for the next book in the series!!
