not impressed with the narrator

Really unfortunate narrator. Like other people have mentioned, the accents were really strange for the characters, and a lot of the names were really mispronounced!

has annoying errors

The constant changing of "merc" into "mere" was annoying, and completely avoidable. simple, but they didn't even edit it.

Disappointed

The narrator kept changing from one fake blended vaguely European accent to another and it was extremely distracting. The fact that they didn’t sound like real accents for any country I have been to (and I have been to a lot) made it more distracting. The book was also a bit more violent than I prefer. I normally really like Mercedes Lackey, but not this time.

Great story, acceptably read

This series is easily one of my favorites from the author. It combines a compelling magical world with just enough of a first-contact story to satisfy my other preference.

The narration is nice, but I submit that it would not have been necessary to read every single OCR mistake without questioning it.

Strong finish

A very strong finish to a series that had a weak start, at least as far as the narration. Karen White really turned her narrative abilities on this story around between the first book which had me questioning if I could finish the series and the last.

The story its self is the completion of the story of grown up Elspeth, heir. She changed throughout the whole of the trilogy and began to mature. In this book you really see how much as she returns home with her new powers and strange friends and jumps strait into the war that has been threatening her whole life.

Good story.

Would you listen to Winds of Fury again? Why?

Probably listen again. Interesting enough to re-listen to catch the parts you miss.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Heroine, a person learning her way in life.

I read it when young, this was better!

Absolutely great love the voices .love the pronunciation , love the performance. We all have slightly different ways we pronounce these names in our heads when we read them I think they did an excellent job in finding the middle ground.

Well narrated

Only issue I had was the reader swapping ‘merc’ for ‘mere’. Otherwise well acted and read.

Another great tale of Vladimir

This is the third in the Mage Winds series. I love the Vladimir stories. The narrator was not properly prepared as she mispronounced names and used inappropriate accenting.
