Stunning

One of the beat sci-books I've read. Dan Simmons is a literary genius. Everything that was disappointing in Endymion is redeemed in this book. The characters are well developed, the writing is beautiful and the story is absolutely mind-blowing. Well ahead of it's time. Hard to wrap your head around some of the concepts he brings into this narrative. Simply a fantastic read. 5/5

What an ending!!!

The book starts off slow followed by an equally slow build-up. The story is very rewarding if you read the whole series.from hyperion. All the pending questions were answered and all the loose ends were tied. Dan Simmons did a great job planning the whole series (intentionally or not). Things from the first book click together with the series climax in a way that could only be planned.

The writing is brilliant and written very smartly. The reader was equally good and managed to keep me engaged.

Book 4/4 should br better

This is a 4 book series, or a pair of two-parters... either way this book was a disappointment to me. The author almost blatantly explains missing components that it sounds like we're meant to be in a third (middle) book, glosses over character development that feels like it should last a whole novel, and awkwardly shifts gears through a couple of time lapses without much grace.

Pretty cool ideas, but it feels like there wasn't the will to really follow through on a set of ideas that eclipsed the Hyperion novels' but didn't best them.

Amazing

I started this series during the start of covid two years ago and am just getting to finishing. It is Unbelievably exciting and fulfilling. The ending wraps things up better than most sagas I’ve seen - wether that’s book, movie or tv series. The Hyperion books were my first Dan Simmons and I’m exited to read more science fiction from him and explore the other genre books he writes. Narrator was great as well

Simply beautiful

This was one of the most beautiful and meaningful stories I have ever listened to. From book one all the way to book 4 I have enjoyed thoroughly, also the voice actor was perfect.

I love this whole series

After the long story leading up to this, the ending was fantastic. The science fiction elements are highly imaginative, but there is much, much more to this series. It's beautiful tragedy, full of philosophy, romance, and suffering. Truly a work of art that I'll be revisiting.

Probably the best written sci-fi series of all time.

I resisted any attempts of spoiling any part of this lovely cantos. It is a work of beauty. A magnificent achievement of love that emboldens and cherishes so many forms it can take. I had so many times thought the story would unravel itself and I would lose interest, but no. I returned time and time again until I finished it.

in many ways, I am speechless. The profound writing, planning and intelligence put into words in these novels reach into my soul and spoke to a part of me that could not be reached by any other work.

It ushers and beckons me to do greatness myself. To live up to such a well-structured creation.

One of the best books I've ever listened to

One of the best books I've ever listened to, obviously you have to listen to the first three first. But this was amazing. Equal parts emotional roller coaster and heart pounding excitement.

Slow at times, but a satisfying conclusion to the series

Outstanding narration throughout the series - one of the best audiobooks available in the genre. The story in Endymion takes a slower pace compared to the first 2 novels, but is nonetheless fascinating, especially if one appreciates the forays into religious philosophy
