I'm not sure what the other reviews are talking about when they say this is like every other zombie apocalyptic book cause its just not. I really enjoyed this perspective, the Great story beyond just the hoards of zombies, the emotional external and internal struggles, the "no bullshit" approach by the author and his characters and the realism of the environment/situation/characters the author has created. I get annoyed any time I have to hit pause, the story ends and I'm sure I'll be annoyedwhen the series is over bc I just don't want it to end.

Intriguing
Almost made me hate the whole series when they shot Lee in the head. Other than that, it was a good listen to sit to drinking coffee, smoke breaks and spitting out the color of coffee on the ground.

I love this series
These books are full of adventure and suspense and I love how the "zombies" evolve throughout the series. The narrator is someone you can easily transition into listening to.

Best Book yet!!!
I'm loving this series. It just keeps getting better and better. I do wish there was a little bit more character development. I don't feel like I know many of the characters very well, not enough to care for many of them at all. But, the story really is great, and I like the MC and a few others. It's different very diffeo. your run of the mill flesh eating mindless zombies. I just wish there was a bit more of everything, action, relationships, and character development, etc. it's worth the listen for sure, though. now on to book 4.

Great book despite the cliff-hanger
The Remaining: Refugees continues the story of Captain Harden and his group form Camp Ryder. This volume of the series deepens the mystery of what’s going on as well as adding in a number of fronts the remaining have to fight on and really expands the plot. Moving from one flight to the next keeps the reader engaged and with none of the main characters being safe you never know who may buy it next. My only complaint is the leaving of a large cliff-hanger making the reader to commit to the next book in the story “Fractured” if he/she wants any conclusion in this story.
The narration really brings all the characters to life!

Well-written story with a quick pace and plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.
This story, like all the others in the series, was entertaining an action-packed.
The action never slow down in the story. The pace never slowed and there was always something to keep you on the edge of your seat.
There were plenty of twists with new characters and old to keep you guessing in this book. You think you know what is going to happen next, then the author throws you a curve ball and surprises you.
Overall, and excellent listen.
