I loved the growth and development of Alexus ! Please write more about her. I listen to these while doing embroidery and hiking. Thank you! Also this is the best narrator ever!!!!

A story with meat

This is a story that has meat. The cost of making life and death decisions in public service, be it military, fire fighting, police, health.... The cost of not only life and limb, but also of mind. Courage to keep on going even when fear or dispair can be overwhelming.

A well crafted story mixing history from different conflicts with the human weaknesses of the like of Horatio Hornblower showing that you do not need to be a superhuman to have an impact.

Can't wait for the next one.

I can't wait to hear the next book. I want to keep reading them until she makes Flag rank. I also want to hear about the wedding with her Frenchman. Hint hint plot suggestion.

Tall ships meets SCFI

The narrator is excellent and she and the author draws you into the books world and it's characters. Hard core SCFI fans if they let go of their preconceptions will enjoy this along with those who love tales of the tall ship of Yore. Its a wonderful mixture of both and leaves you wanting more . . . i can't wait for the next book.

Yes. The Little Ships is amazingly good read and well pressented in this audio book..

Alexis but she is surrounds be a cast of great characters.

The Little Ships is an excellent story given a special gravity by J.A. Sutherland’s knowledge of naval history.

I am not a writer so appologize if my words do not do the book and series justice or for the pain it may cause those reading my comments. The fact that I attempted to write this at all is a testiment to how much I appriciate the authors efforts.

Anxiously awaiting the next book in the series "Chop Chop mister Sutherland, lets be about it lad, or I'll know the reason why."

loved it.

I listened to the first 3 books almost back to back ( because I wanted to find out what happend next ) I find that I enjoy the strong femal lead and enjoy finding out how she over comes the challenge that face her. I love the history wrapped in to the story as well and find my self thinking of an old saying ( if one does not learn from history, one will be domed to repeat it ) please, please, please keep going with her story and I hope that there will be more than the 6 main books that I have found.
