What made the experience of listening to The Getaway God the most enjoyable?
Great story, character and narrator. A perfect storm.

Kadrey has done it again
I'm working my way through all of the Sandman Slim books and I've never once lost interest. Theyre fun, well-written, and engaging. As for the performance, I can't imagine any one else being able to do what McLeod Andrews does. He's an amazing voice actor!

Do Not End This Series!
What other compliments, accolades or glowing tributes can I bestow upon this author and the narrator? I love these books! Okay, this review is not fancy, but straight to the point.
I love the terrific writing, everything from the film and literary references to the deep and deliciously dark internal musings of Sandman Slim about the world and the universe. And the wonderful sarcastic humor!
I love the side characters, all the gods, demons, angels and especially his group of friends---all so inventive and unique.
I love the wonderful twist ending to this book.
I love, love MacLeod Andrews! Others have said it here perfectly---he IS Sandman Slim. His performance has made the character come alive.
I am so heartened to hear that there will be another book. YEAH!

Where as the book itself is fantastic,I feel that if McLeod Andrews were not the narrator the book would suffer for it. Mr. Andrews is amazing with voices. So this series is narrator driven for me.

Kadrey does it again!
Sandman slim always into something and he does it like no other,I love this charter and all of his friends are interesting to boot. I have enjoyed everyone of the sandman slim books and the narrator is amazing he's definitely the right man for this book,there's twist and turns in all sandman books A very unique series you will love it!!

Love all the Sandman Slim Novels
And this instalment was no exception. My only complaint... This one seemed to end very quickly. I think Macleod Andrews does a great job bringing the characters to life and I couldn't listen to anyone else reading this great series of books.
