Good but poorly developed female characters
I enjoy this author but his weakness is writing for female characters. He needs to get a female coauthor or editor so these characters aren't so one-dimensional and erratic.

Fun scifi adventure

Fun scifi adventure
Who was your favorite character and why?
Kyle Riggs because he is a badass

Couldn't put it down. Very compelling.

A fun read with out a lot of a depth. Excellent if you like scifi stories like Starship Troopers but want the entire story to be about war.

Good book
Good book. It kept me entertained. The beginning was a little weak but finished ok. It is a light listen that is strong on plot but not much on character development. I am going to listen to the whole series. Good books are hard to find. The reader was good and that is hard to find as well.

easy listen
Good si-fi action, gets straight into it no flowery overkill. story is interesting and holds you the so called ozzie accent is a bit yuk but not enough to ruin it. i look forward to listening too the second book

Another Powerful book from Mr. Larson.
Loved it, another powerful addition to the mind of Me. Larson. I love his imagination and how you can get lost in his series and how Mr. Boyett can keep you inside of Mr. Larson's wonderful books!!!

Two authors?
When the book started out - I was truly mesmerized. Enough to tune out the voice of my GPS and end up somewhere else. Halfway the "action" started and it felt like there was a completely different writer taking the lead. The ending was great. The only thing I can assume is that Mr. Larson had a great idea for a story but ran out of juice and filled in the middle with military minutia. I will give the second book in the series a try.

Amazed
I typically don’t listen to sci-fi books, stumbled across this through following a narrator. Boy was I amazed and so happy I did. Excellent story, great characters and more. I’m not a great review writer so so f I leave a review then the book is a 5+ star book for me!
