Publisher's summary

Terry Goodkind returns to the epic Sword of Truth saga in a tale of sweeping fantasy adventure bound to enthrall his growing legion of fans. In Temple of the Winds, the New York Times best selling fourth novel in the series, the Seeker of Truth Richard Rahl and Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell risked their lives and souls to free the land of D'Hara from the scourge of a magical plague. But in doing so they accidentally unleashed the Chimes, a magic whose threat will reach far beyond D'Hara.

Now it has become terrifyingly clear that the Chimes have the potential to bring down all that Richard and Kahlan have worked to protect, and even the power of the Sword of Truth may not be enough to stem the tide of their unleashed magical force. But if the Chimes cannot be stopped, first they will ravage Richard and Kahlan, then all of D'Hara, and then the entire world.

Epic edge: listen to more in the Sword of Truth series.

Good narrator, but weakest book story of series

i read all of the books and decided to revisit them in audible format. i knew this one wasn't the greatest story, it focuses a lot on side characters that have no purpose after this book ends and little on the main characters.

It isn't a bad story, it is just one I am not overly interested in. the narrating is good which is why I will continue this book (about half way through).

better narration.

Being respectful to the deceased, I will not comment on the book itself as there is already years worth of that.

I will say that this is easily the 3rd best narrator of the series. that's not saying much seeing as Dick Hill, and Jim Bond are really, really bad.

The Best So Far in the Series

Not only was the performance of this reading superbly done with no awkwardness or bizarre pronunciations, but the story was riveting throughout. I never wanted to put it down. I really became very enthralled with the characters and their stories. Every one of them became real to me.

Hang in there.

Form your own opinion. It starts quick enough then slows way down. Hang in there. It gets really good at the end. But this isn't the end.

slipping a little

the story is good, but it doesn't compare to the previous ones. A good chunk of the story is world building in a way that doesn't seem to matter to the overall story.

another great story

I have e really been enjoying they story line. This one has some pretty cool twists and turns. It did feel like this got rushed in the end to tie up all of the loose ends, but I guess that's better than leaving this ends untied. I'm ready for the next book.

amazing story very well written but the narrator

the narrator mispronounced the main characters names. very hard to get over the reading rage of hearing names being said wrong through the whole book.
