Wulf is an ancient Viking warrior with a useful but extremely aggravating power-amnesia. No one who meets him in person can remember him five minutes later. It makes it easy to have one-night stands, but hard to have a meaningful relationship, and without true love he can never regain his soul. When he finally meets Cassandra, the one woman who can remember him, she turns out to be the princess of the cursed race he's sworn to hunt - and is forbidden to him. The two of them must face ancient curses, prophecies, and the direct meddling of the Greek gods to find true happiness at last.
Love in vein: listen to another Dark-Hunter novel.

"[T]he latest installment in the Dark-Hunter series...serves up more of what Kenyon fans have come to expect from her paranormal romances: intensely passionate love, laugh-out-loud humor, and drop-undead gorgeous men." (Booklist)
This story doubles back on the timeline and even recalls word for word the phone call between Wolf and Talon while he debated whether to finish off his coffee or the prey hhe is supposed to be hunting--Fabbio alert! It continues past the news of Zarek's fate and then carries us forward to give Wolf's story the proper finish.
The story puts a few head-twists on how we view Damons and gives us our first non-human female love interest--an Apollite. We also get a hysterically funny view of Wolf's interactions with his nephew/Squire that make it worth the listen for those moments alone.
As usual, there is a tremendous amount of humor that often makes me laugh out loud as well as poignancy that brings tears to the eyes. We also get a satisfying reunion of Julian, Kirian, and Talon for a romping good fight plus more enigmatic Ash and his studly super powers.
I can hardly wait to get back to New Orleans for the next story and the tears and laughter I know it will produce.
5 stars is i love and i will read agani and again. 1 is i hate and i never want to hear about it ever again. YES = :))) - NO= :'(
Book is full of sex as usual, but it was funny, I can't say why but you will understand. My main concern is Acheron and in this book you get to know more about his powers and what he can do. damn can't wait to read the book which will be about him.
In this book there is a small twist, its not like the previous books, so you will like it.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
Another great one, but in my opinion there are not any bad ones when it comes to the dark hunter series, only some better than others. I thought it was hot how they had dreams about one another.
Sherrilyn Kenyon was one of the first paranormal romance authors that I read. I love the stories and the whole Atlantis pantheon thing. Ms. Kenyon has a great imagination, and though this was not my favorite Dark-Hunter book, I always enjoy the boys. The stories are very entertaining and, in my opinion, MUST be read in order to get and understand the inside jokes, and to get the flow of the story as a whole.I am happy to see the series is finally making it to Audible (in order), and I hope all 21 Dark-Hunter (5 of which are in anthologies) and 4 Dream-Hunter books make it on Audible!!
I loved listening to this audio. It was better than reading the book. I loved Fred Berman he did an excellent job with the characters voices. I can't wait for Vane's book and please use either Fred Berman or Holter Gram as the narrator.
Paranormal-urban fantasy book lover!
Wolf gets tricked into getting involved with an apolite, she has the choice to turn daemon or die at age 27 which is 3 months away and hence the story begins. This one was different than the others but still good. We get to see the apolites, daemons and dark hunters begin to understand why they do what they do. I know these books are already written but I HATE when an author uses the same predictable formula/format for every book each and every time for every book!! It annoys me because I would think they are best sellers so they can be creative and come up with different formats to write each book.
This is why Jeaniene Frost is my favorite so far.
Anyway, narration is AMAZING!!
Worth a credit - YES!
The recording while it told me it downloaded correctly skipped a ton and made it very difficult to listen to.
Chris Cracked me up!
A total rewrite is the only thing that would make this book better. I literally rolled my eyes multiple times listening to it. It was ridiculously predictable, the characters were lackluster at best, and the cheesy "jokes" made me cringe. Not to mention the huge amount of holes left in the story. UGH, the book was just terrible, there is no other way to say it
Make up a better story with better main characters. Not these wooden, predictable BORING ones. I literally didn't care what happened to them.
The narration was fine. A lot of the voices were very similar and the snort/ laugh he kept doing began to get annoying but it was nothing too unbearable
Nearly all the sex scenes.
I know there are good books in this series, and I feel like I can't miss one book so that I can get every detail. But this book nearly made me quit altogether. It was that bad
