My daughter and I listened and enjoyed the story. The vocalization was excellent, with a nice range of voicings making it obvious which character is speaking. The story starts a little slowly and is a bit awkward in a few places, but that didn't detract from our enjoyment, and my daughter wants to get the print book to add to her library of things to read when she's done with electronics for the day :-)
Agree with another reviewer that called this 'star wars lite'. It does give that vibe.
Just good voicework all around. It was easy to follow which character was speaking throughout the book.
Star Wars Lite
I really liked the introductory chapters. Often times it takes me a while to get into a story, but I was immediately pulled into the this one.
I actually liked all of the characters. Amber gave different voices for all of them, so it was easy to follow along.
I enjoyed all of the moments! It felt very professionally written, and the voice actor did a good job of bringing the story to life.
I thought the cover looked a little amateurish, so my expectations were not as high as they should have been. I was blown away by the quality of the writing and the flow of the story. This is by far one of the better stories I have listened to on Audible.
I enjoyed the story's pace and subject matter, perfect for kids.
I enjoyed the brother's commitment to protect and rescue his sister.
Definitely, the narration was wonderful and keeps you interested the entire time through.
