I'm Hooked!

Yes, this series and its hero are reminiscent of the Harry Dresden novels.... but in a very good way. The story is fast-paced, the hero is flawed but extremely likable, and the magical world created by Kevin Hearne is multi-layered and interesting. I'm hooked!

I especially like the small touches: quoting Shakespeare, Atticus' connection to the earth, his understanding of the modern world and its quirks. And I'm looking forward to having lots of books left to listen to within the series!

Another great iron druid book

The entire series connects. It has colorful characters. Mixes in unique traits to make you like then. Reader does an excellent job as well.

Great story, Great Narrator

I loved this story. I am a huge fan of the Kyle Swanson series, Kolt Raynor series, and the Dark hunter series of books. I started this series bc I wanted a new series to get into and Luke Daniel's was the Narrator of a magical realm of gods and goddesses and since I have listened to the Kyle Swanson series more than 3 times each I was willing to give a series I never heard of a shot bc Lu kn e was the narrator and i have been greatly rewarded. The druid and his dog are great characters and their happenings so far have been wonderful.

What made the experience of listening to Hexed the most enjoyable?

The narrator does the voices well. The voice for Oberon the dog is great. That is how I think a dog would sound. The voice of coyote was over the top, but I think that trickster coyote would be like that.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oberon he is a good companion for the druid.

What does Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

I do not think that the voices I would chose when reading the book would be different. Mr. Daniels has done a great job with the voices. The voices are more then I thought they would be.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Myths brought to life.

What made the experience of listening to Hexed the most enjoyable?

I enjoy how the author weaves lore in with modern day so it takes superstitions or old beliefs and forms them into a sensible story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

narrator makes all the difference! Luke Daniels is terrific! The story is also very entertaining. I love all the magical characters, battles, historical references and humor.

If you could sum up Hexed in three words, what would they be?

fun, fast, weird

What did you like best about this story?

The story is fast, there is always something going on, always some suspense. The humor in the book can make you laugh out loud and therefore I recommend not listening to this audiobook in public or with company, to avoid strange looks and comments. ;-) The narration is great really adds to the story and characters.

Which scene was your favorite?

The talks with his companion are always fun and some of the thoughts the main character has are just to strange and funny.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It definately made me laugh!!

Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the fourth part of the series.

Yes i would listen to this epic book again. Everything just flows so well together.

i enjoyed reading this series, but listening to it is fantastic as Luke Daniels reads it there is real magic in the story and the story teller.
