What made the experience of listening to Free Excerpt: Star Wars: Heir to the Empire - Behind the Scenes the most enjoyable?

This provided much delightful insight into the ideas and mindset of the author while he was writing Heir to the Empire. I first read HTTE about 20 years ago when it first was published and to gain more incite into the story has been very enjoyable for a die hard fan.

If you’ve listened to books by Timothy Zahn and Betsy Mitchell (editor) before, how does this one compare?

Compared to other books by Timothy Zahn, this book is one of the best. After Alan Dean Foster's Splinters of the Minds Eye, this was the first book in the expanded Universe, Now considered part of the STAR WARS LEGENDS line. This is where it all started and I am sure that there are other enthusiast out there that were delighted for this peek behind the scenes, just as I was.

If one seeks to know how a Star Wars series is developed between the writer and the franchise office , then this is the book you need to read or listen to. It was interesting to me and gave me knowledge I did not know.

Behind the Scenes Treat!

This was a fantastic behind the scenes short with author Timothy Zahn giving insight into the first legends novel. Snippets of Marc Thompson’s excellent performance are heard as well, and the editor, Betsy Mitchell makes an appearance as well. I love the tidbit that Heir kept John Grissom’s novel the Firm out of the top spot of The NY Times bestseller list.

the best trilogy or in fact star wars books ever written. This brief narrative is so cool to hear from the authors mouth the hurdles and reasons for his creation.

dive into star wars lore

it sucks that you have to jump every other multimedia content to get a good star war's story but the books and tv shows are best way to get best stories out of the star wars universe.
