Earth's Star Force Marines invade an alien world!
In the second book of the Star Force series, Kyle Riggs has another bad year. The Nano ships have a new mission - one that sentences their pilots to death. Meanwhile, the governments of Earth want to steal Star Force's Nano technology for their own. Worst of all, Earth has made a promise to the Macros, and the machines are coming to collect.
Extinction is the story of Earth's entry into an interstellar war between living creatures and machines. And to buy the peace, we've signed up with the machines.

Lots of action and very good story line. I'm looking forward to listen to the other books on the series.
Solid plot, always on your seat, sense of wonder.
The Flood, another series about a realistic possibility.
The battle at the end of course.
15 words? Well, let me see. I liked this series. It was well above average. Action packed, fast moving, and very cool. I bought the series and went book by book. I am glade I did.
Solid story, keeps it interesting with frequent action. Often when I listen to several books of a series in a row I get irritated with some of the writers repetitive quirks. I didn't notice that with the Star Force series.
Similar to Ringo's looking glass series but better, less pseudo-science and lengthy techno lectures.
A good way to get through the work day.
Learn, build, conquer!
Not just one thing i can say i liked. The plot is great, the addition of programming and logic (which i suck at) makes this story so much more interesting. The way the story grows makes it an instant classic for me.
Kyle Riggs is my favorite character because he's got usuable intelligence and he's pretty funny too.
Not in this book, but in the first book because of what happened to his family.
Great listen, and it builds up well.
A lot of action and a great story. I think I might have done some things differently. But still a fast, action packed story. Can't wait to start the next story.
The second book in this series measures up to the first. If you liked the first book then you will enjoy this one as well.
After finishing the first book in the series, i made an assumption as to where the second book would go. I was very wrong, but that's fine, because the turn the story took that i had not expected was a great surprise. The narration is right on. I feel that this book actually has another book inside of it if the author chose to write another book using other "characters."
I cant wait for Audible to release "Rebellion."
"Great way to spend spare points."
This is the 2nd Star Force book. It's not the cheese that the books title suggests. Just as good as previous book although I might be wrong but im pretty sure this retconned the ending of that one. Continuity changes like that can be annoying but forgivable since it allows the story to continue.
