I didn't expect much.

Boring
I don’t know what to rate this book. It was well written, but I never felt invested in the characters or the story. As a result it was boring. Even the battle scenes were just.. meh. I’m not sure I’ll bother with the next one.

Exciting Fantasy with Magic and swordplay
Likeable characters in an unusual but believable setting. The land of Ella and Mira is diverse and colorful. The brother and sister come of age in different ways to help their nation fight evil. Plenty of intrigue, battles and magic but what makes the story work is character interfaith and development. Very enjoyable read!
