Kyle Riggs has been away from Earth for a long time.... What’s happening back home? In Empire, the sixth book of the Star Force Series, the story moves in a new direction.
Earth falls quiet, and the few reports coming out of the homeworld are increasingly strange. Isolated in the Eden system, Riggs realizes his enemies are forming an alliance against him. Crushed between two monstrous fleets, the last defenders of Star Force must forge their own alliance with the biotic aliens. But which alien race can Riggs truly trust?

As with all of the books in the Star Force Saga Simply GREAT! Lots of action and great Narration. It did end short. We will just have to wait for the next book. Mr. Larson don't make us wait long!!!
One of the Best
All of them, there is tension, suspense, action.
I don't know whats gonna happen next.
Great voices, great line delivery! I am hypnotized to the story.
I can't get enough of this series, will re-listen again soon.
This is the fastest I've ever gone through an audio-book. How will it end?
One of my Top-5 book series!
Amazing Sci fi military novel
I love the battles and how everything is set up.
fun, addicting, flawless
Marvin - You just really never know what he is up to or what he is going to do.
Mark Boyett does a fine job narrating, his voice is smooth and does not distract the listener.
This is a book/series that is very hard to put down, I finished it in two sittings.
This is book 6 and is not one you can read without reading the previous novels starting with book 1 Swarm. Science Fiction is not normally something I would get heavily involved in but this series has captivated since book one, hopefully book 7 Annihilation is released on Audible soon. If you are here reading these reviews then that means you are somewhat intrigued so do yourself a favor and start reading the series you won't be disappointed.
The story line is tight and there is a steady diet of action.
several - this one great
Caught Between Two Evils
I wont go in to the plots too much mainly if it 3 - 5 stars you may want to try it.
Earth has grown silent and Riggs has been away for ages. Riggs finds trouble coming for him and the Eden System see if he's got enough tricks and plans in his EXO suite.
Kyle Rigs is seriously starting to tick me off. I understand wanting to make a "human" character with "human" flaws, but this is getting ridiculous. His love triangle is getting old. His lying, cheating and manipulation of allies is getting old. His increasing lack of ethics is getting old. His lack of any strategic planning and awareness is getting old. The only thing not getting old is his attitude - it's becoming more and more juvenile.
Absolutely - this is an epic story - I just hope that in the future, we witness a return of a Kyle Rigs that we can once again respect.
Mark Boyett continues to do an excellent job with the narration. I would just suggest that he maintain a set distance from the mic (unless going for effect).
The narrator, the stress of the conflicts, the aliens, the technology
I guess the main character, as this story is in first person
What's the deal with the REVERB added to the narrators voice in this one? It's new and it's ANNOYING. Kinda sounds like the guy is in a bathroom...
Love my sci-fi and fantasy, but delve into Historical and Biographical.
Story - 3
I found the book interesting as I am a fan of sci-fi/fantasy with space and aliens. I am not a great writer of reviews but the book itself had some parts that fascinated me with logistics and the survival of the main characters of the book, but it over time, would drag on in a diatribe or personal reflection of the mail characters. Now, sometimes these are not a problem in some books, but these tend to be a little more annoying than most.
Narration - 3
Now the book's narrator was ok (not great, not bad).
Overall - 3
I gave this a 3, as frankly, I consider this about an average story in its writing. The story line is probably a little better but some slow spots tend to drop it down a little.

The creativity in Larson's writing never fails to be enjoyable!
Mark's narration brings the story to life. His delivery becomes as much a part of the book as any of the characters.
Love the series! Some of the aspects can get a little out there but over all I really enjoy all of it!
