Mark Boyett
Three stars, three worlds, three civilizations...one massive war. In a triple star system, not all planets are equal. When the Demon Star swings closest in her orbit, the Insectoids always invade. They raid the inner worlds with grim regularity, riding hordes of stealth ships in ever-growing waves. Their mission is to destroy all opposition - alien, human, or otherwise.
Cody Riggs, lost among an endless chain of interstellar rings, flies his task force of starships into the middle of an eternal struggle for survival between three civilizations. He takes it upon himself to help the more peaceful worlds but manages only to bring disaster to all humanity.
Demon Star is the twelfth book of the Star Force series, a novel of military science fiction by best-selling authors B. V. Larson and David VanDyke.

Where does Demon Star rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This rates up there with the other of BV Larsons booksWho was your favorite character and why?
Marvin hes brilliant and sneaky. What about Mark Boyett’s performance did you like?
He just does a great jobDid you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really but there were times I almost stopped listening due to the immaturity of Cody RiggsAny additional comments?
I am disappointed that Cody Riggs has not seem to have matured over the course of these books. His actions seem to be short sighted and stupid for the most part. In dealing with Marvin this becomes very apparent. The fact that the Cody character continues not to ask for an opinion from the crew seems rather out of place. Every strong leader would ask for input then make his or her own decision.Maybe it’s just me but where this book starts and the previous one ends seems to have a fairly large gap in time. All that aside this is a very good book with lots of twists and turns. I for one do not believe that Marvin has met his demise. It would be out of character for him not to have figured something out and survived and will show up again at some point most likely to collect his offspring.
I am not sure where you take the series from here other than to follow the rouge AI ships into the void I am not sure how entertaining the story would be. With the same cast of characters it might be interesting.
Good possible end to the series

Also, it seems that Mark Boyett changed Bradley's voice and Hansen's in this book. Hansen sounded off and Bradley sounded like the old Hansen.
