Publisher's summary

Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a violent attack...and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she'd learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. But Anna is that rarest kind of werewolf: an Omega. And one of the most powerful werewolves in the country will recognize her value as a pack member—and as his mate.

Need more Alpha and Omega stories!

I love this series, and Holter Graham IS Charles! I wasn't sure about a male narrator, but he's perfect.

A softer, gentler Mercy

Fantastic performance of one of my favourite bookverses. Anna is tough-as-nails and still sweet. Reading this storyline after Mercedes Thompson side is like dessert after a really yummy meal.

Cry Wolf

I love Mercy Thompson and I refused to listen to this series because I didn’t think I would care about the pack that forced her out when she was so young. I’m still not the biggest fan of Samuel however I’ve decided I shouldn’t have waited so long to to hear about Charles and Anna. Great start to a series. I would suggest that you listen to or read Alpha and Omega before starting this series.

Great story

If you re a fan of Patricia Briggs work with the Mercy Thompson books then you will like this series. This book is great for the fans of it because it gives you insight on the people who matter most to Mercy. It takes place right after Moon Called and you get to see characters you know in a different light. Very well done

A Favorite That I Listen To Again and Again

This is one of my favorite series. Anna is a character who has faced isolation and abuse resulting in insecuity and doubt. Charles is a dominant alpha who is his father's assasin. These two are unlikely partners, but their wolves decide to be mates bringing their human other half along. I enjoyed watch Anna work to overcome her insecurities and to watch her relationship with Charles begin to develop. Great story and great narration.

Great Writing - Narration, Not So Much ...

Any additional comments?

After listening to the entire Mercy Thompson series, narrated by the irreplaceable Lorelei King, this narrator leaves much to be desired. He makes Charles sound like a dumb jock, and his pronouncement of "Morrock" got on my last nerve. I don't know whose pronouncement is correct, but I liked Lorelei's much better. I loved the story though. I may just have to read the rest of this series the old fashioned way!
