Have Mercy: listen to another Mercy Thompson chiller.

I love books and love to get lost in the fantasy. I'm always looking for a new good story to bury myself in. :)
I enjoy this series and really liked this book. This story line includes more of Stefan. I liked Stefan in the previous book and wished to hear more about him. We get that plus the ongoing Mercy/Adam/Samual triangle story line. Also, we get to find out more about what Mercy can do other than just shifting to a Coyote. Great book. I'd recommend it.
This was my second book in the Mercy Thompson series and I was not disappointed in the least with it. There's a new vampire in town and he's brought a demon with him. The plot involves both the local wolf pack and the vampire seethe, even getting some of the fae involved. But it is Mercy's ability to speak to ghosts that is in high demand. We find Mercy tracking a demon/vampire who brutally killed others and even though she was scared she didn't let that stop her from fighting, I found myself holding my breath along with her as she went into each scary situation and eventually she saves the day and her friends. I loved the story, love the series and as I am writing this am downloading book 3 in the series, Iron Kissed. Lorelei King is once again an amazing narrator
I just read the review from Vivian who complained there wasn't any swearing and sex never got past first base. That this is a 4+ star book without garbage "is" the reason I downloaded this and will now listen to it. I love great stories without having to flinch because of coarse and crude expressions that add nothing to the work except to irritate the inner senses. I hope it is as good as Vivian says! Love to get into new series and authors.
I enjoy the books but feel that the ending is simple. I do like the characters and feel they are well done. I just wish the twist in the end was a bit more riveting. I doubt that I will get the rest of the series on audiobooks due to the narrating. I don't think I could take another ten hours of the voice narrative. =^(
Enjoying life, taking time to be myself, trust me it's a hoot!
werewolfs... Vampires and cyotes oh my! solid storyline will continue the quest with Mercedes the shape changing car mechanic. Good premise a real woman who can take care of herself in a neighborhood out of control with all the above mentioned and more. Witches, and fairies and more.
I am a 40ish woman with more interests than time but some of my favorite things are books, audio books and e-books. I have over 325 audio titles and have already listened to about 2/3rds of them. I drive over 25000 miles a year and my listening keeps me sane on the road.
I love Patricia Briggs' writing. She combines the best of several genres including mystery, paranormal romance and urban fantasy. I read this book years ago when it first came out but just got it as an audiobook and now I feel like I am revisiting old friends.
Lorelei King is one of my favorite narrators so it was a wonderful surprise to discover she was the voice behind one of my favorite series. It was a fresh take to hear it as opposed to reading it. The voice actor always affects the way certain phrases are interpreted by the listener and sometimes that differs from your own. it's a fresh perspective.
This book is Mercy Thompson engaging with the vampires through her friend Stefan and of course biting off more than she can chew. I always admire how she feels compelled to take action when she is so physically vulnerable. She is the underdog which make her victories all the sweeter. I also loved the developing relationship with Adam. Those two are fun to watch as they dip a toe into the romance pool. The delayed gratification is all the better.
I would definitely recommend this audiobook to friends, in fact I have! I love the Mercy Thompson series to begin with and to have it on audiobook is great! To sit back and listen to the story and be in their world is awesome!
I compare this book to the rest of the series. It has the same dynamics that just draw you in.
I love when Sam and Adam get all defensive with Mercy, in any book. But of course you have to love when Mercy saves the day!
I always want to listen to the book in one sitting. You just get drawn into it
