Have Mercy: listen to another Mercy Thompson chiller.

I only have two vices in life, wine and my audible books. I will cut you if you try to take either one from me!
Ever since the Twlight books, I have had a hard time finding books to fill the void. These books do the job! Excellent reader too!. If you like this try the Kim Harrison or Carrie Vaughn series too.
All excellent reads.
So intense I could not stop listening . Can not wait to get book 3 .
Everything not 1 thing I did not like .
Lorelei King is the best .
There was a lot going on in this book and I loved it! It was a little dark and twisted and enjoyable.
I was hesitant to purchase this book, since typically I don't read or listen to vampire/werewolf books much. After reading the reviews and listening to the sample I decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. The story moves quickly and I love the characters. It is refreshing to hear a good book that is not ruined with a lot of vulgarity or profanity. Mercy is a gutsy, quick witted female protagonist that still manages to be down to earth and believable. I love her character and the way Briggs develops the story around her, revealing bits and pieces as needed. The narrator does a great job reading the story and I immediately purchased the next book after finishing the first. I highly recommend giving these books a try.
I am a voracious reader. Lately I've been alternating between mysteries and sci-fi and love their weird intersection.
This book has the least amount of romance and strongest development of Mercy as an individual.
Lop-sided, limited, adequate
The first book in the series was good. I'd recommend it.
I did not finish the second book. The author establishes vampires as evil. All of the major characters say so. There appears to be one vampire that is an exception and I am fine with that. But when the vampires state that they do not kill anymore because they have had their fill, I take exception.
I need more reasoning than 'I've done my share of killing.' Does a tiger stop killing because he has done this for years?
I'm going back to Jane Yellowrock. She knows what evil is.
I am a "Life is Awesome! Strive to be Worthy of it." student of life kind of guy. Feeding on Chaos and Empowering the Good. Group Hug!
Mercy can shape shift into a coyote and outside of having a good sense of smell, good hearing, she can sense magic and talk to ghosts. No super strength, just your average Girl who is a Mechanic ... lol ... Seriously just that alone made me want to buy the book. I don't have trouble believing in Fairies, Elves, Vampires or Werewolves but two things that I know don't exist in this world are Girl Mechanic's and Gamer Chicks. This is one of those books that just go a little bit beyond the point of keeping your interest. This book did leave me with a few questions... The main question about something that happened and the book even has it in the title, but... You know it is just one of those things... It happens right in front of your face, there is no doubt it just happened but everyone chooses to ignore it and after a span of time goes by even you are wondering if it happened.... Is it just me? I guess I am buying the next book! ;)

No they are both ranked the same. The narrator is great!
It is the same genre as the God Save the Queen series, both pretty lighthearted, an easy read and fun.
She is really terrific as a reader she manages to make each character distinct.
A Romp rolling good time
I've always loved books. Even before I could read I've loved them. Fact or Fiction, I love books. I'd sooner read a book than see a movie.
Her characters and their relationships become more developed. The relationships between and the understanding of fae, vampire, werewolves, ghosts and skin walkers become more clear. A new paranormal element is added to the mix, demons. Mercy's love interests and friendships are very interesting. The demon is much more scary than all the other paranormals and I enjoyed that tremendously. Her 2nd book is better and one can't help but want to read more books in the series.
That vampires are not as romantic as other books tell it. I liked the ghosts in this book and how they leave clues only Mercy can pick up on.
Her accents for the vampires and some of the fae were spot on.
It made me laugh and left me wanting to sleep with my head under the covers too.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
Right away Mercy gets into trouble, this time with demon possessed vampires. From the get go we are off and running and the story only gets better from there. Read this series in order. As usual Lorelei King is awesome. I have already downloaded the next book. Suggested series Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich, Charlie Davidson by Darynda Jones, Monster Hunter by Larry Correia, Sookie by Charlaine Harris, Elder Races by Thea Harrison.
