In Battle Station, Kyle Riggs faces new challenges, new alien fleets, and learns the secrets behind the war he has been fighting for years. In the fifth book of the Star Force Series, the Eden system is in humanity's grasp, but can they keep it? Star Force is weak after a long war, and many yearn to go home. Knowing the machines will return with a new armada eventually, Riggs seeks a more permanent solution. Along the way, worlds are won and lost, millions perish, and great truths are revealed.

I'm the most boring person on the planet.
I enjoyed the continuation of what has become an interesting story with an interesting protagonist. If you liked the first four Star Force books, you won't be disappointed.
The plot twist that comes in Book 5.
Riggs, of course, but Marvin runs a close second.
I will be continuing onto the next books.
Love my sci-fi and fantasy, but delve into Historical and Biographical.
Story - 3
I found the book interesting as I am a fan of sci-fi/fantasy with space and aliens. I am not a great writer of reviews but the book itself had some parts that fascinated me with logistics and the survival of the main characters of the book, but it over time, would drag on in a diatribe or personal reflection of the mail characters. Now, sometimes these are not a problem in some books, but these tend to be a little more annoying than most.
Narration - 3
Now the book's narrator was ok (not great, not bad).
Overall - 3
I gave this a 3, as frankly, I consider this about an average story in its writing. The story line is probably a little better but some slow spots tend to drop it down a little.
I like this series it is fun to listen to and the story line is very unique. I have not read (or listened to) a space series with this type of story line. I would recomemmend this series to anyone who like space storys.
His use of characters and tech. He is still willing to present a heroic hero, rather than a part-time villain hero.
The fact that it keeps building in imaginative ways. It also remains true to the series.
I read well, so not much. That being said, he did a superlative job with both tone and mood. Very well read. I think the better compliment is that I lost nothing by listening to it rather than reading it.
I can't imagine having that much time, or indolence for that matter.
This was fun. Some insightful glimpses into human nature, but just plain fun. It isn't a life-changer, unless a distracting adventure is what you happen to need at the time. It is uplifting and well defined, in a time when we need both.
First book, Ray Bradbury collection of short stories. First series, Dune. Favorite series, Thomas Covenent
Excellent continuation of the story. Some inconsistancies and repeated behavior by the characters. One would think that trusting instincts would grow on a person instead of having the same respons as in the first book.
stat trek fans might enjoy.
not a mainstream story.
some one more mainstream.
the long conversations.
star trek fans may enjoy this.
My husband and I have listened to all the books in this series. The next book is out on paper. When's it coming out on Audible? Can't wait to find out what happens next!
Again Larson creates a book that makes me take a few extra laps around the block so I dont have to get out of the car and stop listening to the book. I hope there is a sixth book to this series soon.
The Marcros adapting caught me by supprise.
is you haven't read this conquest yet, I would suggest starting with Swarm and reading the whole series. While you can read the books out of order, it is much better in order.
Although Earth will end up without him, the future for the people of Earth are much safer because of a computer nerd. Great story and I'm looking forward to more of B.V. Larsons future books. These were hard to put down!
One of the best series I've found.
This book is a natural progression in the series.it keeps to the style and rhythms of the previous books
The narrator was great
My reaction to the book was an acute disappointment that the next book is not yet available in audiobook format as yet.
