Publisher's summary

Sassy has always dreamed of opening a bakery. She and her grandmother used to talk about what she wanted to do in life. Her grandmother encouraged her with her dream. Sassy kept a book with ideas for her bakery and some recipes from her grandmother. Her grandmother left all of her granddaughters some money to use toward their dreams. When a new shop opened up in Fort Smith Arkansas, she inquired on renting it only to be told he does not rent to women. She asks her bother-in-law Chester to step in and help her rent it. But when the owner sees Chester, he refuses to rent or sell.
Chester wants to help his sister-in-law attain her dreams, so he seeks the advice of Judge Parker, who is his partners father-in-law. The Judge tries to help, but being a Judge ties his hands. He knows of a man named Sam, who just came into town and is interested in learning about the store owner since the store owner is not really who he appears to be. He decides to contact him on the off chance he can help. Judge Parker also decides to contact Sassy’s father Domminic Brown who by the way is a lawyer and he is the Judge’s brother-in-law. He knew if one of his kids were having issues he would want to know and try to help them.
It appears there are a lot of men in this town who believe a woman’s place is in the home, cooking and raising their children. Sassy still has a dream of a family while owning a bakery. She does not want to sacrifice one dream for the other. Sassy wants to know if there are any men out there that believe differently?
The stage has been robbed not too far away and the Wells Fargo money is missing. They send an undercover Pinkerton agent to investigate. They follow the suspect to the Fort Smith.
Somehow Sassy unknowingly gets tangled up the with suspect.
Does she end up having her store? Is she in danger? Is there marriage in her future or is there any room for that.
