Great fantasy series

Second book in this series. It is very entertaining and I throughly enjoyed it. This book explains essentially Targa’s Mom’s first birth. I still don’t understand how Targa’s mother gave birth to a Triton and we still don’t know what happened to the other Tritons. But several questions are answered. Can’t wait to listen to the last book in this series.

Great story with nice history of the sirens!

This was just a fantastic look at what's REALLY going on among the sirens and Atlantis. Love this glimpse into history and so ready for the next book! Fantastic story!

I listened to an ARC of this book, but these are my honest opinions.

Great continuation to a siren series!

I absolutely love how A.L. Knorr started this universe with a bunch of young girls getting elemental powers, but then she found a way to dig deeper in the history of each type of elemental! This series covers her water elemental (a siren, d'oh!) and it gets deep into the history of mermaids. We still follow the main character, Targa, but through her mother's stories we find out why mermaids are the way they are and why they are torn apart between land and water. This book in particular was extremely satisfying to me because it explains SO MUCH of what we've seen about mermaids in past books. We not only get to see glimpses into siren culture, but also find out so much about characters we've followed in the past. Basically, I love this book. It must be my favorite book in all the Elemental books (and there are more than a dozen!).

The narrator was also awesome. I have read all book my Ms. Knorr when they came out, as ebooks, so I am coming to the audiobooks with some already formed impressions. But Marni Penning does a wonderful job, including the rhythm and individual character voices. Overall. my love is as strong for the audiobook as it is for the ebook.

Unforgettable Journey

Salt and The Sovereign tells the story of Mira’s life from the time she was born as Belle to when she became Mira. It is quite a tale. Belle starts off as a naive and idealistic little girl gradually growing with each new experience, gaining knowing from her mistakes...but some mistakes end up costing Mira a lot.
The journey is very captivating and a bit emotional. I did cry once or maybe even twice.
As Mira’s story unfolds a few mysteries are discovered that have yet to be figured out.
I eager to solve those mysteries and can’t wait to dive into the next book.
