Ya en Madrid, en la Residencia de Estudiantes, conoce a Dalí, Buñuel y a Alberti. En 1921 se publica su primer Libro de poemas, en 1928 Romancero Gitano; en 1935 Llanto por Ignacio Sánchez Mejías y su poema Tierra y Luna, póstumamente en 1934. Entre sus obras teatrales incluyen: Bodas de sangre, Yerma y La casa de Bernarda Alba, ésta última, considerada su máxima obra. Fue detenido por la Guardia Civil el 16 de agosto y fusilado tres días después en 1936.

Una grabación mediocre en mi opinión
En mi opinión esta grabación es mediocre. Prefiero la grabación de Jorge Juan Rodríguez. Pero ésta no está disponible en Audible. Se puede obtener en Smithsonian Folkways. EMO es mucho mejor. La poesía de García Lorca es excelente aunque no tiene rima.
