The story was enjoyable and well structured. It was different to other romances that I usually read, the mystery was something different, however some parts of the book was exhausting to get through, just the constant building of emotions from each character and running through the Why’s and How’s of details. Jim does another amazing job at narrating, I really got this book because he was narrating, and probably going to get the other books because he is narrating them as well.
OMG could she have dragged this story out any further? We do not need to have every single solitary detail of each character's every thought. Good story line,
great chemistry between characters but this story cold easily have been told in half the time. Jim's narrating truly makes this story worth listening to. He could describe paint drying and make it sound fascinating. 5 stars for his performance.
good story, different from anything I had thought. It also had some sizzle. Definitely an adult book. The subject of human trafficking is disturbing, but so glad the good guys win.
Had never listened to any other books like this one. just liked the author, so thought I would try a new one of hers.
the narrator never wavered even though some of the scenes were very hot.
Say something about yourself!
This book checked most of my boxes. The drama was real and not contrived, there wasn't instant love...it had to grow, and the woman was strong, oh and of course there were some hot scenes.
I didn't like that I figured out the who dun it before the lead characters, and the hot scenes were lacking something, but not sure what. I loved the intensity of the characters and have been told that although this is a stand alone book it is part of a series, so I will happily download the next one too because they are all suppose to be about alpha males.... Which are just yummy!
This is the story of Dare, he is sent by his best friend into Mexico to retrieve his sister who has been abducted while on vacation. His mission is to get her and get out...but when he finds her there are 5 other woman there, most flee when they are released but one is unconscience and appears to be American, so rather than leave her there he brings her with him.
When Molly Alexander wakes to find herself out of the Mexican shack and unbound she doesn't know what to think or who to trust. She doesn't know why she was there only that she was abducted from her home in Ohio and beaten badly and nearly starved...who is this man that rescued her, and what does he really want?
Yummy story, yummy action, nice non intense read.
It was easy to listen to and there was enough action to enjoy again.
Has to be the final part when you don't know what will happen to Chris, Molly and the "girls".
He is my favorite and I check the narrators carefully after one or two disappointments.
Dare to Trust Your Heart
Enjoyed this book based around a few similar characters and I'm watching for more with Jim Frangione's narrating!
Yes, I would definitely recommend this book.
All Lori Foster are similar, not a bad thing. There are nice and enjoyable to read or listen to.
The passion he put into every character.
There was not a place in the book that moved me, but it made me giggled several times. With the busyness of everyday and the many responsibilities, I rather get a giggle than a touchy moment.
I cannot wait for my next book.
Great book little different than Nora R. but good content. Listening to 2nd book now the story line is good has to do with human trafficing.
Story started a bit slowly, then the storyline built. Initially, I almost stopped listening as it was a bit cheesy. :)
I became involved in the characters and really looked forward to listening to each chapter.
Great character details and romance.
Truthfully, not a fan of the narration. I didn't feel he was involved in the story at all at times.
Should have been read by a woman.
At times, I laughed out loud at "extreme masculinity."
yes.. It is a good and interesting book ..
he is a very good narrator makes you feel a part of the people involved
yes... both laugh and cry
I really like the way I can get my books...
Darkness Rising by Keri Arthur
He does have a nice voice.
In When You Dare, we meet the titular male MC, Dare, just after all the action has happened. He rescues Molly at the tail end of a rescue mission for his buddy's sister, and then LITERALLY NOTHING HAPPENS until the end of the book. And it's a loooooooong book.
Oh, goodness. I nabbed this title because it was only $4.95 on Audible and was 14+ hours long. Given how I've been blowing through audiobooks at a ridiculous pace of late, it seemed like a good deal. However, it turned into a total hate read, as in I only kept listening to find out just how much worse it could get.
(Also to find out how many more times Dare would mention his boner. Seriously, are we twelve??)
I normally love romantic suspense, having been a dedicated reader since the seventh grade. That's why it's so disappointing to see the SUPER SECRET BIG PLOT TWIST coming a mile away! The red herrings were fairly lame in this story. For such a chunkster of a book, those plotlines were left oddly unrealized. I also felt that the sub-plot regarding Molly's creepy hater/fan and all of the rather pointed comments Molly makes about readers were a bit of a statement on Foster's part. It makes me wonder if Foster gets horrible fan mail in real life.
There really isn't much to review here. Dare and Molly are one-dimensional stereotypes who fall in rather inappropriate insta-love and solve a mystery in something like three days while surrounded with even flatter one-dimensional, stereotypical supporting characters. End of story.
