Cute

I was nervous about spending a credit on this because of the negative review for the narrators- however I am glad I purchased it. While the male narrator has a strong Boston accent, it led to the credibility of the character. The only thing I agree about the other reviews is that neither narrator were good with the opposite sex’s voice but that’s not unique to these narrators. So if you want an authentic sounding book, then you won’t be disappointed.

Really good story!

I really enjoyed this story a lot, the male narrator took a few chapters to get accustomed but it got better, it just seems t a bit over the top Bostonian accent but it really rings true to the story when you think about it. They are an unlikely couple but I loved it. I love the fact they communicated when problems arose instead of adding just unnecessary drama.

I have listened to this book more than twice which make it definitely a great find!

Outmatched

I was saving this gem for when I needed a book by my favorite author.
Samantha has been a favourite of mine for a long time, when I saw she did a book with an author I am not familiar with I still grabbed it just as fast.
I am now going to be looking up Kristen because I enjoyed this book a lot!

Parker is so sweet and so wanting to prove she is good at what she does. That she actually does something that is so out of character for her. She hires someone to be her date to work stuff because her bosses’ boss is a real you know what, and kinda sexist.

Only she hired one fella and another one showed up Rhys came in place of his little brother Dean because he thought he was saving Dean from a man eater. Oh man the back and forth between Parker and Rhys is epic. I loved it.

I swear it was even better because of the narrators they blew this audio out of the park. I want more from both of them please! The accent Alex did for Rhys yum!

Quite the accent

Took a few minutes to get through that thick accent. It wasn’t bad. I like the storyline.

A must hear! Simple but a beautiful story. It only had 4 stars but it should definitely be 5 stars!

Enjoyed this rom-com with hot grumpy guy and smart up-tight gal. Had enough steamy parts and good story line to keep it interesting and enjoyable. The male narrator was a little hard to get used to, but after a chapter or two, it didn't bother me anymore.

The male narrator is ruining it.

The male narrator is so annoying it almost makes you want to give up. the accent he makes is awful the voice he makes for Parker is terrible too.
He is better with voices without accent. Might aswell give up the accent if it makes it that you are unable to listen to it!

• A little about the characters and the plot:
Rhys Morgan, a former boxer, needs to get money fast to save the institute that was his late father's dream.
Parker Brown is a hard worker who is willing to do anything to prove herself, even if it means hiring the services of a guy on an app to fake a relationship with her in order to get the approval of her boss.
But... she's hiring Rhys brother's services, and Rhys decides that's not gonna happen at all! And from here?The story is just beginning. 🤭

Very cute and sweet, the narrators are great, I was a little afraid of the accent but it was quite clear. The plot is fun and sweet, reminds me why I sometimes miss the old books.
Yes there were clichés that's why I gave 4 🌟, but it wasn't bad I really had fun listening to this cutie!
And what I liked the most, there was no miscommunication and 3rd act breakup, which is a BIG bonus!!!!
I loved Rhys so much, he was a never ending surprise and I really enjoyed watching Parker peel over layers of herself to become the best version of herself that she has been holding back all this time. I loved the tension between them, the realization that they are not so different and their affection for each other. I really want a book about her best friend. 🤍

was unsure of the story at first. Alex Kidd is one of my favorites but this was a little hard to get throw his voice matched the what the character should have sounded like but didn't care for it.. The story line was good. Worth a listen

One of My Favorite Romantic Comedies

Such good writing, character development, and dialogue! Seriously, this audiobook is laugh out out funny, and the chemistry between the two characters is outstanding! I also liked Alex Kydd's Boston accent (despite what other readers' had to say about it). I think he does a great job of impersonating other characters, too (even the females). Highly recommend!
