Publisher's summary

With an irresistible blend of flashy style and offbeat humor, MaryJanice Davidson’s Undead books have become regular residents on the New York Times best-seller list.

Ninth in the series, Undead and Unfinished finds Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor slogging her way through the Book of the Dead. When Lucifer offers to give up all the book’s secrets, Betsy is intrigued. But there’s a catch, of course. For her part of the bargain, Betsy must take her half-sister, Laura, to Hell, so Laura can develop an appreciation for her dark heritage.

The Best Series, you're not reading.

This has been a fun and very sarcastic journey. With one of the most incredible twists, I've ever listen to. This book has cost me an iPad, as I dropped it as the final chapter closed. Read this series, love this series. It's hard not to.

Wrapped up a little short

Even though this was the unabridged version, it seemed to wrap up a little quickly at the end. It seems something is missing. Overall, an interesting way to sum up the previous books and make it close nicely. Entertaining.

Loved the book!

I am always a fan of MJ and loved this book as well. The book hoped around alot but it wasn't hard to follow. Nancy Wu does a great job as usual, and its funny, and entertaining. I would definitely recommend the book, as well as the entire series.

NOT credit worthy.

I have been a huge fan of this series and then I read this latest installment and found myself confused and disappointed. Was the author attempting to meet a deadline or fulfull a contract? Because this book was poorly written and felt "thrown together" and the plot was...well there was no plot it was a just a bunch of ideas strung together and then it just ended in the worst possible way. The only good thing about this book was learning more about Sinclair and Tina, but the entire "future" portion of the book was horrible and the end just ticked me off. I don't know if I even want to read this author anymore I'm so let down.

Typical Becky

This was a pretty typical Becky story, but the ending was sad. It made me wonder is the author was done with the series.

Just good gossip

Would you consider the audio edition of Undead and Unfinished to be better than the print version?

Yes. the reader does a great job of presenting the heroine and her friends. You cant get that by reading.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Betsy is the Queen. She lets nothing bother her and she takes all your problems away while listening to her try to live her life. I found myself completely immersed in the story and all my troubles disappeared for a while. I love spending time with Betsy.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When we find out what happens to Sinclair - ouch! I wont spoil it but its not what you expect. Let's just say ruthless is the word.

Any additional comments?

I love this series, it's just good gossip. No great story line, or memorable writing, just fun listening and a laugh. And thats ok.

Can I NOT hear the epilogue?

This was kind of awesome, but it’s ruined by the epilogue and a bit by some things future Queen Betsy says/does. Otherwise the book was kind of awesome, and I have a major obsession with some of the devil’s shoes and Betsy’s as well. I couldn’t wear them, but I wish I could. I’m off topic, but either way the epilogue ruins some things for me, and I think, based on other reviews it did for other people too.

Fun & a great narrator

I love MaryJanice Davidson's books and this one is no exception. It continues the saga of Betsy and her friends and family.

Fantastic narration by Nancy Wu whose one of my favorites. I can't wait for the next one, I just wish they came out more frequently.

Better than the last few

After reading the reviews on amazon and here, I was very reluctant to purchase this book. With every new book MaryJanice Davidson puts out in the Undead Series, the books get shorter and the filled with uneccessary graphic sex scenes that do nothing to move the story forward. However, after reading Undead and Unfinished I was pleasently surprised. This book was not filled to brim with the usual fluff and every moment contributes to the suprising ending. Although, the ending was disturbing, I don't think it takes away from the character at all. Sometimes stories simply don't have a happy ending. I am only giving this book three stars because my faith in MaryJanice's writing abilities have yet to be completely restored. I know there is a good writer in there somewhere, just waiting for her to come back out.
