I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
This would definitely be a classic X Files case for Mulder and Scully..... Asia had lost three hours of her life that ended up having a devastating and heartbreaking effect on her life and her sanity but, years later, she would find answers, friends, a family..... and love. But it would all come at a high price.
Three years later Asia was sent to a Psychiatrist specializing in treating people that were delusional and thought they'd been abducted by Aliens but Asia had never claimed that nor did she know of his 'speciality'..... she just wanted peace of mind and to be rid of her haunting weird dreams. As soon as she walked into Ethan Robert's cosy room she felt safer, calmer and, when she looked into the handsome Dr.'s face, she was also captivated too. The road they find themselves travelling down will bring emotional and wild revelations, suspense, betrayal, death, terror, twists, heartache, love..... and some unbelievable answers... (think the X Files theme here).
Ethan's also got his share of heartbreaking skeletons in his closet too and he's still living with the painful injuries from it but when the beautiful haunted Asia walked into his Office it stirred up feelings and desires long dead. However, Doctor-Patient relationships were taboo so Ethan concentrated on her mind and not her body - but the more he delved and unravelled Asia's memories - the more of her unbelievable story surfaced. And the deeper they journeyed together to find answers - the harder they both fell.
I won't go further about the storyline - it's your's to discover. However, I will say that although there was instant attraction, it wasn't instant lust and sex, there was a slow and nicely paced growth of feelings and trust that did eventually lead to some stolen blissful sexy times. Their romance was gradual like the storyline which slowly unfurled revealing clues, possibilities and nuggets of information that would eventually all fall into place. Dual POV's and, even though the narrator was good, on my download every time the narrator spoke there was a background hiss/static which went off and on continually but, because I too wanted answers, I pressed on..... and even got used to it.
Worth a credit? There was a good balance between story and romance, it was (despite the hiss) an enjoyable listen and yes, if you like Sci-Fi stories, then I'm sure you too will find this creditworthy.
I received this audible edition for free for my honest review .. great suspence.. interstellar kidnapping and life or death action.. great story.. I highly recommended for true action fans.
Captivating plot and delivery by narrator.
Asia, because I could relate to her on many levels.
Her intonation was good and the voices for the characters were distinguishable and authentic. She used tone to emphasize important sections of the book.
When Asia was going to leave with Claussen in order to save Ethan's career.
It was very slow and gave a dark feeling throughout. The narrator was very mono tone and there was a weird noise every time she would speak but otherwise did a great job. I just couldn’t get into it… It did have very engaging parts and the author did a great job. This just might not have been my cup of tea what happened to Asia in the beginning of the book just really hit me hard and I could not get over what happened to her babies so for the rest of the book I was sad and the book played into that despair.

Some books may be better written and genres differ. So I rate on how mush I enjoyed a book, I am not a book critic.
I hoped for action, fantasy, sci-fi. I got a slow paced drama, read slow, with 1% action, 2% sci-fi, 75% melancholy drama and 22% R18 .
This is a slow drama sold as an action, By the time the action starts I was so board, I did not care what happen to them.
I listened to this on 2x speed and still it was to slow.
None of them show any interesting or deep personality, except maybe for Rita, who shows some individuality.
Not my cup of tea. If you are looking for a slow drawn out, erotic drama with a small bit of sci-fi action, this is for you. "This audio book was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review."
I love a good Audiobook.
the story was an emotional, sweet and thrilling listen. there was some static in one of the chapters but it was easily ignored. the narrator did an excellent job. if u like sci-fi and the X-Files u will like this book.

This book started out a little slow and slightly confusing. Around the midpoint the action picked up as all the pieces started falling into place. There were also a couple of steamy sex scenes thrown in to spice up the story. Be prepared for a new take on alien abductions. The narration was excellent, if a bit heavy on the southern accents.
