Great Read
Bad Boy Series: 3 Book Collection by Simone Carter was a great read. This collection consisted of three books in the Bad Boy Series; Hawk's Call, Soul Songs and Risky Business. These books were great and had some steamy scenes. I can't wait to read more by Simone Carter.

Ok
The heroine of the last book (Marissa) was irritating. She never asked Aaron about what she saw him doing in middle school which caused her to carry a grudge for 10 years. She finally gets that situation cleared but continued to be make assumptions and be stubborn to a fault. A fact that almost got her killed. My rating is based off an average of the 3 books.

Ignore ICKY art- solid romance with HEA
I’m sure the art was a real turnoff to some who would really enjoy these 3 stories. These are mostly middle-of-the-road with a HEA, but the art insinuates something much darker and grittier. Who knows why?
Book 1: Hawk’s Call: Robin’s younger sister Crystal calls for help when she realizes she made a mistake running off with Guts, the biker. The characters of Robin and Hawk appealed to me, but I had a problem with Robin leading the biker to the motel where she was staying. This from the experienced bar tender who could take down an obnoxious mountain. Big disconnect.
Chapter 29: Book 2: Soul Songs: The beginning of the story interested me until it almost derailed when Marti goes along with being mistaken as a stripper? I almost didn’t continue. Marti is a muralist hired to paint bedrooms for Jake’s niece and nephew, who are now living with him. There’s some real sweetness in this story.
Chapter 53: Book 3: Risky Business
As a realtor, Marissa is contacted by Aaron, to look at a house he wants. Mixed feelings ensue as he was her first crush; and someone is murdering realtors who were alone while showing houses.
You can tell when a narrator is not much of a reader by how many words they mispronounce. Hint: Right now Audible is offering the Great Courses’ Building a Better Vocabulary on sale.
Ms. Blackwell’s strength is in her female voices.

Good Series
I listened to the first three in this series and figured I would listen to the last one as well. The narrator was the best part of the story. The romance and drama were blended together to make a good story. I did like the first two books and this one fell into the same style. The killer was not really a surprise although the manner he was discovered was. Interesting concept.

Fantastic! Highly recommend!
This is a fantastic series! Well written with amazing characters, interesting storylines, steam and romance. I love this series so much and can't recommend it enough. Narration was realy well done. I can't wait to check out more by this author!
