Amazing like always

I love this author and narrator. This was one of the best so far. I was very sad when it ended.

High up with the best. Great story and great narrator.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Vlad: cunning, powerful, clever, and very funny.

Which scene was your favorite?

Spoiler alert: Too many. When he finally tells her that he loves her and when he has to turn her were up there with the best. Yet so many phenomenal scenes!!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Loved it!!! Better than Once Burned and that was an amazing book. I did not cry.. but I am so happy at the turn of events. Lots of funny moments! I could not stop until I got through the whole story!

Highly recommended. J Frost seems to get better with each story she writes!

OMG I LOVE HER BOOKS! VLAD AND LEILA MAKE A GREAT PAIR. IM REALLY GLAD SHE GOT THROW SOME OF THAT WALL HE PUT AROUND HIS HEART. SHE IS A GREAT WOMAN FOR VLAD. THE NARRATOR WAS WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS... I LIKE THIS BOOK BUT WAS SHOCKED WHEN IT END LIKE IT DID JEANIENE BETTER COME OUT WITH THE NEXTED BOOK SOON!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR ANYONE!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! I really enjoyed the first book, but this book was even better! Honestly, I don't think there is one book Jeaniene Frost has written that I haven't loved. Leila/Frankie is a great heroine. She's strong, smart, relatable and very interesting. And of course, who doesn't love Vlad? Those two definitely bring the fire and electricity. Ok, excuse that lame pun. It's true though. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves paranormal fantasy and/or paranormal romance. It's entertaining, through and through. You get all the paranormal goodness with action, mystery and some hot, sexy steam between the two main characters. This book, like all the books in the Night Huntress universe, is one of those light reads that is perfect for those lazy, rainy days.

For those of you that haven't read the NIGHT HUNTRESS novels, please read my additional comments at the end of my review. It will give you an idea of what you need to read first before starting this NIGHT PRINCE spinoff series.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tavia Gilbert is one of the best narrators, hands down! She doesn't just read the books out loud, she performs as of she's acting in a film.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I don't know. Something that doesn't sound cheesy. I wish the title and cover for this audiobook/book didn't look and sound like it came from the harlequin romance section of the book store. It's so much more than that!

If you love the NIGHT HUNTRESS series, I suggest you get this audiobook STAT! If you haven't read/listened to the NIGHT HUNTRESS series yet, stop what you're doing right now and get on it! Then, read/listen to FIRST DROP OF CRIMSON and then ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS. Once you've finished those, it's time to start the NIGHT PRINCE NOVELS. That way, you won't be confused about anything. I'll warn you though, once you start these books, you will not want to stop!

Jeaniene Frost weaves a story full of plot twists, unpredictable events, realistic emotions, and of course agonizing cliffhangers.

Vlad has been one of my favorite characters from the “Night Huntress” series. With his on way of doing things, and if you are not in agreement, then get out of his way or get impaled. But the electrifying Leila stands up to him at every turn. She refuses to settle for less than she feels she deserves from the man that she loves.

Their courtship is not a sappy or mushy romantic journey. It is more of an expansion of two super powers, both of which have a dark side.
Hopefully Vlad & Leila will never turn into a typical couple, for this is one fan that would be very disappointed if that happens.

Jeaniene has a wonderful chance to turn this couple into a powerhouse of entertainment. Let’s hope she seizes the opportunity so we the fans can reap the benefits.

Travis Gilbert, what can be said “SUPERB”. She brings every character to life, with it’s own unique mannerism and personalities.

Gilbert's performance in this series is great and she is great with both male and female roles.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No, but I like how the story move along. Sookie Stakehouse series is like this, where the action keeps moving along, sometimes without a pause.

I wonder if there will be a third book.

Frost is HOTTTT

Jeaniene Frost has yet to disappoint me. I love Cat and Bones and am looking forward to her new venture coming soon.

The second Vlad book was great. I love the story, I did guess the traitor pretty early on, but still enjoyed the mystery.

Yes Tavia Gilbert really brings the story to life,it's a great storyline the characters have depth and are great indivduals with interesting stories.

What did you like best about this story?

The romance between the two characters and that Lelia is a strong female character who takes care of herself.

She was great with the change in character voices if brings you more into the story.

This was a great book! I just have to say I am so loving Vlad in this book. Yes he's brooding, arrogant and very overbearing but yet there's deep emotions under there and this book made me wish even more that I could have Vlad for myself (assuming the wish also made him exist ;).

Leila is great in this book. She's just so determined...even when it's not always good for her. She tends to need rescuing at times but yet she kicks ass on her own. I really like her character and she proves herself as a good match for Vlad. When things start out I wasn't thrilled because Leila and Vlad are having problems. She's not willing to keep fielding a cold shoulder from Vlad who seems to be more and more distant. She ends up breaking it off with him and feels she's right about him not caring because he didn't argue or try to stop her (we find out the reasons for this later...did I mention arrogant???).

Maximus ends up escorting her back to the US (and Marty) where she plans go back to her act in the circus. Once there someone tries to kill her and Maximus helps her try to find out who the killer is. Unfortunately he also convinces her that it might be Vlad trying to kill her out of wounded pride for her leaving him. They let everyone believe her dead in an attempt to keep her safer. Vlad soon discovers the deception however and events conspire to bring him back in to Leila's life.

I don't want to go in to to much details but there is a good amount of action as they try to discover who the person is that keeps making attempts on Leila's life. They find out there's a traitor in their midst and have to ferret them out as well. But the main story of course is Vlad and Leila. I just love the emotions and the back and forth between them. They argue and fight but it's only because there's real emotion under it all. There are so many points in the book that had me in happy tears and I just loved hearing their story. The action and romance in the book melded together well and made a hell of a story.

This book was just great and I loved it. I didn't want it to end and can't wait for the next book to come out. I'd highly recommend it. 2 thumbs up! :D
