Only three books in this series, it's gonna be tough finding another story so compelling.

Part 2

The story is great! My only issue is the narrator's lack of other characters voices. She's good but lacking in range.

Excellent Pace & Storytelling

Very unique version of Dracula. Plot & characters well developed. Love the fast pace. Never bored. Couldn’t ask for more from J. Frost & team. Excellent read/listen!!!!!!

Lots of excitement!

I had a good time with this book! After my re-read of the first book in the Night Prince series, Once Burned, I have been very eager to read this book. It turns out that like the first book, I didn't remember this story despite the fact that I have already read it. That is bad for my memory but good for the experience of reading this book since it was like reading this book for the first time. I really enjoyed my time with this book.

Leila and Vlad survived the events of the last book but things seem a bit different. Leila has lost her abilities and Vlad seems distant. There is a bit of a misunderstanding that becomes the breaking point and Leila leaves. I have to admit that I really like Leila and Vlad together so the time that they were apart in this book wasn't quite as enjoyable for me. Things are still pretty exciting while Leila is away and it seems that danger must be following her. Of course, Vlad happens to be a pretty good problem solver.

I really enjoyed watching the relationship between Vlad and Leila develop over the course of this book. They learn a lot about each other in this installment and there are a lot of pretty big developments. I really liked seeing the ups and downs between them and thought that it made their relationship seem a lot more realistic. I really do think that they are good together and love how they seem to understand each other.

Tavia Gilbert does a fantastic job with the narration. I love the voices that she uses for all of the characters and how she is able to put a lot of emotion into her reading. The story really comes to life with her narration and I found myself listening to this book for hours at a time. I believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this series to others. I do believe that this series should be read in order since the events of this book build off the previous installment. It would be ideal to be up to date with all the books in the Night Huntress universe but not absolutely necessary. I look forward to reading the next book in the series very soon!

Layla is a strong woman who does not wait for someone else to rescue her. I like her sense of humor and how she cares about her friends and family.
plenty of action suspense and romance in the series. I just wish there was more than four books.
I think I have read all of Janine Frost books. I have also listened to most of them on audio. Tavia Gilbert does a great job of narrating.

Tavia is one of my favorite readers...She gives it her all in every Jeaniene Frost Book and her performance in this book was no less spectacular. Cant wait for her performance in the last Leila and Vlad book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Vlad confessed his love for Leila (FINALLY!) I had tears streaming down my cheeks....such a stubborn man!

When Leila finally embraced her inner dark Goddess and let loose with her power....talk about Girl Power!

Vlad always had my attention in the Bones and Cat series. He was the helpful and comical sidekick so to speak, but he was just sooo intriguing a character I couldnt wait for him to have his own book. 'Once burned' I liked SO much.... Twice Tempted I LOVE!

I've been waiting for this book for a looong time and I now I have to wait for the last part for the trilogy in order for me to have closure. Im so invested in this story and with Tavia's voice, I've been known to snap at anyone who actually dares to disturb me during Vlad and Leila's adventures....

How dare they?! Cant they see Im in the middle of emotional trauma from Frost's amazing fantasy?!

Hmpf!

As much as I love Bones and Cat, I feel connected to Leila in a different way. Perhaps because she's semi-human and has been through tough times (which makes her even more human and relatable), I can actually see myself as Leila....and who wouldn't want a man as Flaming HOT as Vlad? With all of his alpha male genes, passion and humor, he makes a pretty ideal knight in shining armor....or should I say....A flaming dragon in the sky? ;D

Love everything about this book. After reading book one, i couldn't wait for book two..
I have to say it did not disappoint .. I love Jeaniene Frost books,but these two books are my favorite ..

Most definitely! I can't get enough of Vlad. I find this portrayal of him most irresistible.

What did you like best about this story?

I'm not entirely sure how to word my response without revealing parts of the story :( it's safe to say I most enjoyed the exchanges between Leila and Vlad. The passion they share and the emotions involved... I didn't want the story to end.

She exhibits a great deal of emotions in her work.

Yes and I did just that.
