Hot, hot hot on ice!

You know, it’s gonna happen all the way through you know what’s gonna happen next, but when it does, it’s freaking fantastic and hot exclamation

Start with this one for Hockey team

Would you listen to True Love and Other Disasters again? Why?

yes, a good listen due to a good editor. At first, I thought Susan E. Phillips take off, but after listening to this and Nothing but trouble, I know a good writer when I hear it. R.G. has the right stuff. S.E.P stuff is different as I have most all of her books. (sep, latest are just not good enough for me to buy). So yes, after an hour you realize that the outline has many similarities, of It Had to be YOU, but both are a great listen and lots of fun. Who doesn't want more fun?

What was one of the most memorable moments of True Love and Other Disasters?

when our hero is sitting in the locker room for the photo shoot, and our heroine places her foot on the bench.

Have you listened to any of Susan Bennett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

this is a first listen for S.B and she does an excellent job. She has the pace and tone just right. Yes, she could have a deeper male voice, but the tone and pace made up for the lack of a deeper male voice. This is so tricky for so many women readers. Natalie Ross has one of the best male voices as does Gabra Zackman and some Karen White

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

yes, when our hero reviews our heroines assets from the magazine

Any additional comments?

I wanted some humor and ended up buying many of R.G. books all at once. So far, I have not been disappointed. Humor makes the medicine of life much easier.

A hockey lover's dream!

If you could sum up True Love and Other Disasters in three words, what would they be?

Sexy, tense and fun.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Savage! His growling and heated looks fit him to a tee on and off the ice. He's certainly the beast to Faith's beauty.

Which character – as performed by Susan Bennett – was your favorite?

Susan Bennett's voice characterizations were dead on. She brought to life the anxiety of Faith's centerfold-turned-hockey team owner through Rachel Gibson's clever words. Both ladies quickly became my new favorites.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Rachel Gibson had my skin itching and heart racing waiting for these two secret lovers to get caught. I loved the humor in her writing and the sexual tension she created.

Any additional comments?

When I finished with this book I wanted more!

Adventures of mixing love and business

If you could sum up True Love and Other Disasters in three words, what would they be?

Initially, I was not aware that this book was apart of a series by the author.
This is a stand alone book which makes it enjoyable as I didn't feel like I was missing information to fully grasp the story.

So in three word,

Sexy
Funny
Courageous

Who was your favorite character and why?

The main character was my favorite for her dogged determination to be successful despite the lack of support and encouragement from those around her. She persevered to prove her worthy of running her dead husband's beloved hockey team.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is at the end when the team wins the Stanley Cup and her love interest is free to disclose their relationship.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Hockey, love and other disasters.

Disappointed

I have loved all of this authors books so far. This is why I was disappointed to realise that this book has an almost identical story line to SEP's It Had To Be You. SEP wrote a fantastic book and Rachel Gibson has written a really good imitation.

This was just an OK book for me.

I did enjoy the characters and the narrator. For me really to like a story however it should be funny as well as sexy.. I found no humor, if you want a story with just sex and hockey, this book should suit. I usually listen to my books over and over. This one probably not.

Loved it!

If I could have given this 10 stars I would. I loved the story, well written, not sappy or stupid. Sexy and steamy and the chemistry between the two main characters is incredible. I hope Audible will release more books by Rachel Gibson. I've listened to all 3 and she is quickly becoming my favorite. Susan Bennett is an excellent narrator. This book is a win-win.

Love, Love, Love it! My Favorite of the Series

Where does True Love and Other Disasters rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Oh boy, definitely in the top third. Rachel Gibson reminds me of Susan Elizabeth Phillips in her themes and style. Phillips has much deeper character development thus longer novels. Gibson's plot and characters have a lot of poten""al

What was one of the most memorable moments of True Love and Other Disasters?

"It's Miss July, not January"

Which scene was your favorite?

Love the sexy scenes between Savage & Faith

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes - anytime the love leads stay away from each other I have to keep listening

Any additional comments?

This is a great listen. Go for it!
