Gaining consciousness in the arms of an enticingly handsome, not wholly human creature, Zandy believes herself to be an accidental victim of a senseless bar brawl being carried to the afterlife. Instead, in another of best-selling author Laurann Dohner’s New Species erotic romances, she is about to feel more sensually pleasured and alive than ever before. Ali Ahn, veteran of television crime dramas and the New York stage, brings a vocal complexity to characters using each other to overcome a mutual mistrust. Ironically, in giving as good as she gets, Zandy turns a purr into an unexpected roar from Tiger, head of security for the New Species Organization, who has sworn never to commit to any one female.
Book 7 in the New Species series.
Zandy’s had too much to drink and is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She knows she’s going to die. When next her eyes open, a beautiful man-creature is holding her in his arms. He’s just too tempting to resist; her very own fallen angel. She wraps herself around his body, determined to have him. But when this angel turns out to be flesh and blood, reality crashes in - she’s seducing a New Species.
Tiger’s shock quickly turns to intense passion when the human female kisses him, despite the fact she’s trying to get his clothes off while he’s engaged in a task force operation. He’s also made it clear he’ll never take a mate. Rather difficult when he and Zandy can’t keep their hands off each other. The taste and feel of his little human just leaves Tiger wanting more.
Publisher’s Note: While each New Species book is a standalone, the greatest enjoyment will come from listening to them in series order.

Tigers voice is always full of urgency. No other inflection always urgency. Very annoying.
Love Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Romance books.
This one did not disappoint. I love this series and cannot wait for the next one. If you like paranormal romance, start with book one and work your way thru, these books make for an enjoyable listen.
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
The New Species series is an outstanding read and an i have found myself addicted to all the characters. Tiger has been a stand-up guy for his friends and their mates and to finally read his story was pure pleasure. Zandy is the perfect mate for him and watching their rocky road to happiness was an adventure. I love this Sexy Alpha Male world Laurann Dohner has created for her reader’s pleasure and will keep getting the rest of the series as it is released. :)
One of the Best in the New Species. Vanessa chambers did a great job on the voices. Worth a credit for sure.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
Tiger and Zandy are a great couple. I felt so sorry for Tiger... when he finally found a woman he wanted to keep... but then he thought she didn't want him. It was just like Becca and Brawn story when both wanted each other, but didn't really talk to each other to find out their true feelings.
Tiger and Zandy had some great smexing and action... kidnapping and things... But the hospital scene...WOW... poor Zandy... Tiger wakes up, and kicks her out after she spent all that time by his bedside... so sad...
This is a great addition to the NS collection. Great Buy, Credit or Sale...
Narration is subper. I never really like Tiger's voice...but I am glad to see it remained the same throughout 7 books!!
I love books and love to get lost in the fantasy. I'm always looking for a new good story to bury myself in. :)
This was a very good story. Zandy and Tiger are great together once they work out their issues and this story had me rooting for them from the start. This book was a great addition to the series.
Zandy moved to a new town for a job but things aren't going so well. Her new boss is making her life hell but she can't afford to loose her job. She also has had 2 looser ex-husbands that have made her swear off men. One night she ends up at a bar, trying to have some fun and forget her problems for a while. Unfortunately, a bar brawl breaks out and she's caught in it and almost killed. She comes around to find a beautiful man over her. Even though she thinks she's dead (and thinks he's a fallen Angel) Zandy really wants to kiss him and since she has nothing left to lose, she does.
Tiger is a New Species (NS) male that is the head of security for the New Species Organization (NSO). He has a tough job but he likes it and doesn't want a mate that will interfere in his life. He's also talked a lot of crap about NS males taking human females for mates and is determined not to go down that road himself. His plans are all thrown to the wind when he saves a human female and she ends up kissing him.
Once Zandy comes to her senses and realizes she's not dead and that she practically molested a NS male, she's very embarrassed and just wants to disappear. Tiger is put off kilter by this as well because he's never lost control like this before and he didn't want to stop kissing Zandy. They both go their separate ways don't see each other again for a few weeks but neither can forget the other. Zandy has the unfortunate issue of her boss firing her because she wouldn't sleep with him and needs a job badly. She goes to the NSO compound called The Reserve to interview for a job and she gets it. She is embarrassed by her actions with Tiger (and figures he couldn't have really been as handsome and sexy as she remembered) so she's hoping to avoid seeing him again. This doesn't happen and they meet back up pretty quickly. Tiger and Zandy end up coming together and things get very heated as they give in to their urges. Although Tiger doesn't want a mate and Zandy is leery of men because of her ex-husbands, they can't stay away from each other but they keep it a secret. Zandy makes some friends at the Reserve as she starts her new job and this makes things more difficult when trying to keep things with Tiger s secret but it does get fun at times.
While Zandy starts getting settled in to her new life, she does have some issues due to being associated with the NSO. She's hurt when hate groups decide to attack the compound and again when a human male gets on to the grounds trying to kill the devil woman that's with a NS male (he actually think she's Jesse, Justice North's mate as the news of their mating was just made public). She comes out of the attacks alright and things seem to start going better with Tiger. Of course this is when things have to go to crap and danger shows up for both Tiger and Zandy. Tiger is able to save Zandy when things look the worst and he's determined not to risk loosing her again. He knows that she's leery of another man because of her past so he decides he's going to have to win her but is determined to keep her by his side (as his mate) and safe. They have to work through some things and eventually they get things talked out and realize they're both completely gone for each other and they start a sweet and satisfying HEA (with a nice surprise). :D
This was a really good story. Zandy is great and I really liked Tiger too (although he could have saved everyone some stress with better communication! Men! LOL). The story was engaging and I didn't want to stop once I started. I also love the secondary characters in the series. They really help make the stories and I can't wait to read more of the series. I'd recommend this story. Thumbs up! :D
Another awesome story by Laurann. Something I would enjoy over again.
Of course the main character is a favorite. Who doesn't want a species...
Everything thing about this series is amazing from the world that has been created to the half animal and half human creatures that bleed and ooze sexiness. Never want the series to end.
I love audiobooks!
It's right up there with the other books for Laurann Dohner. This character needed a book. He is so fun. I love this series.
Seeing how Tiger falls.
Audiobooks are relaxing and 'food for the soul'.
Another enjoyable listen. I was anxiously awaiting Tiger's story. He was the one that was so determined not to take a mate in the previous books. The only negative thing I have to say about the book is that I really didn't like Ali Ahn's voice she used for Tiger. It sounded too forced to me; but beside that one thing, it was a good story. Bring on book eight, Obsidian.
