Story: each book in this series gets better as you go. Complex characters who and a well written story. Especially liked the interaction between two main characters. The banter was delicious and I found myself smiling at times. Witty and smartly done!

Narrator: excellent choice for this series. Each character is easily known by their unique voices and personalities portrayed so well by Ashford Mcnab.

Steamy scenes: tasteful and needed - several detailed steamy/lovemaking scenes added so much to this story line. 🔥🔥

Just when you sigh and think there can't be another...the bait. Can't wait for the bite!

I have not read the print version but I loved this audio book

When Winter decided he was going the marry Isabel and he was going to have to give up being the ghost of St. Giles

Unfortunately I could not listen to the book in one sitting but would want to.

This audiobook is absolutely wonderful! If you have followed Elizabeth Hoyt's Maiden Lane series and daydreamed about what would happen when Ghost of Giles and Isabel finally got together, your daydreams could not compare to their actual story. The storyline will keep you riveted to whatever device you have selected to hear your audiobooks, and the realness that both author and narrator created in Isabel and Winter's dialogue makes them more endearing.

OH Yes, it was a great story,it works as a stand alone, however you would get an in depth view if you have read the 1st 3 books.

This is Winter Makepeace's story, he was an amazing character, with a fascinating past, which is revealed with perfect pacing between action and passion.

What did you like best about this story?

I love Winter and Isabelle's characters, they were perfect together. I actually LOVED her maid, she was a little nutty & obsessed with Isabelle's clothing.( she's really cute)

What does Ashford MacNab bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is one of my favourite narrarators, I could not imagine anyone else reading this series.

Introduce yourself to the Man behind the Mask.

This book entertain the reader

I enjoyed this book full of plot twist and humor the hero was compelling and the heroine challenging and engaging,she was not a simpering feather head as so many of these romantic novels turn out to be, but truly engagingly clever . Together they were hot!

Thank God she did not kill off the Ghost.

I enjoyed Ashford in the previous books and I appreciated her consistency.

This book allowed me to exhale...because the one before it took my breath away;

Fantastic Series

This was a great book. the whole series was was fantastic. The narrator did a wonderful job. I recommend this series for credits or dollars. It was totally worth it. I finished this book in one day.

The positive reviewers before me have pretty much summed this book up so all I can add are words, words like:-

Humorous, thrilling, exciting, sexy, passionate, addictive listening, likeable characters, interesting plot with desire, mayhem and danger.

Desperately looking forward to book 5 Lord of Darkness which I've already pre-ordered..... and long may they continue.

Worth a credit? If you're a historical/romance lover then it's just got to be a Yes to this one and you won't be disappointed if you spend your credits on the whole series.
