"GOOD - BUT I THOUGHT BOOK 2 WAS BETTER"

I listened to the second book in the series before this one and I enjoyed it a bit more. I couldn't empathise with Emma as I found her to be immature and, after weeks of staying with, spending time with and generally using Nick, she was so selfish in the end.

Having said that, if you're looking for a historical romance then you could do a lot worse than this book but unfortunately I didn't think it was quite as romantic as book 1. Yes, it was good but just not great and it's one of those frustrating books that has you shouting "arghhh, tell him!!" and "you love each other .... so just elope" but then that's why I'm not an author - my books would only be about 10 pages long !.

Worth a credit? Despite what I've said above, and if you're looking for a nice historical/romance then YES I would spend the credit and I will be downloading the third in the trilogy.

"A great escape, easy listening story."

Really enjoyed listening to this tale. Predictable - but still fun. Especially enjoyed the narrator's change of voice with each character.

    Any additional comments?

This was a real page turner. I loved everything about this book. Loved Nick and Emma. Loved Ariadna, Mercedes, Rupurt and Sigrid. Loved the storyline. Loved Justine Eyre's narration. Truly a great read. This is my first book by Ms. Warren but it's made me want to read all the rest she's written.

    "Loved this book!"
    Any additional comments?

I loved this book! It wasn't a story line I had heard before and made me want to listen to it all day. I ended up getting the print version of the next one in the series and that one was also really good. I can't wait for the third one to come out now.

Enjoyed this one as well. I've enjoyed every book I've listened to by Tracy Anne Warren.
This one had a familiar storyline as the Prince and the Pauper, somewhat. It was true love and it was so nice to see them be consistantly so throughout the book.

The narrator was to slow and the story needed some life threatening scenes, but if your looking for just romance this book will fit the bill.

    "Amazing voice"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Princess and the Peer to be better than the print version?

Definately better than the printed version, Justin Eyre brings this audiobook to life and grabs me into the book. I couldn't stop listening, had to finish as fast as possible

    "Lukewarm storyline"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

Quicken the pacing, needs much stronger villain.

Would you recommend The Princess and the Peer to your friends? Why or why not?

No-- too many other excellent books in same genre that I enjoyed far more.

Which character – as performed by Justine Eyre – was your favorite?

The hero, Dominic; Justine Eyre did a phenomenal job with both male and female characters, the dialect and cadence of English accents. Eyre's performance was so incredible I finished listening to the book, where if the performance had been any less compelling, I likely would have quit part way through. Kudos to Eyre!

    "A Really Dumb Story"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No. This was the dumbest "regency" romance I ever listened to. If the author wishes to write in this genre, she should study it more. The idea that a "princess" would be left unattended and visit the home of a single male is preposterous and totally unbelievable.

What could Tracy Anne Warren have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Do more research in the genre.

What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?

    The narration was adequate.

Do you think The Princess and the Peer needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    Definitely not.

    Any additional comments?

This was a waste of my time and my credit.
