Publisher's summary

Ryder is the hardest Montgomery brother to figure out - with a tough-as-nails outside and possibly nothing too soft underneath. He’s surly and unsociable, but when he straps on a tool belt, no woman can resist his sexy swagger. Except, apparently, Hope Beaumont, the innkeeper of his own Inn BoonsBoro....

As the former manager of a D.C. hotel, Hope is used to excitement and glamour, but that doesn’t mean she can’t appreciate the joys of small-town living. She’s where she wants to be - except for in her love life. Her only interaction with the opposite sex has been sparring with the infuriating Ryder, who always seems to get under her skin. Still, no one can deny the electricity that crackles between them…a spark that ignited with a New Year’s Eve kiss.

While the inn is running smoothly, thanks to Hope’s experience and unerring instincts, her big-city past is about to make an unwelcome - and embarrassing - appearance. Seeing Hope vulnerable stirs up Ryder’s emotions and makes him realize that while Hope may not be perfect, she just might be perfect for him…

Gave me goosebumps in the very best way!

OMG, this last book in this wonderful trilogy was absolutely mind-blowing! I give extra kudos to the highly talented MacLeod Andrews for his sexy-as-sin vocal performance as Ryder...be still my heart! I knew Ryder and Hope would be together from the very first moment they met when time stood still for both of them in that life changing glance. Hope is the beautiful, brilliant hostess with attention to detail that I hope to be when I grow up, even if she loves to wear spike heels and I don't. She's everything an innkeeper should be. And Ryder...what a loveable grouch! Not all men are romantically inclined but that doesn't mean they don't love deeply and forever. It's amazing how easily Ryder succumbs to Hope's charms, especially when he has help from a certain someone who shall be named later so as not to spoil the fun for future readers/listeners. When the mystery surrounding the aforementioned someone is finally revealed I wept and got goosebumps at the same time, in the very best way and as always, I will listen to this series again and again just like I do with Nora's books. They are absolutely perfection!

Classic Nora Roberts

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, first of all it is a Nora Roberts story, and the third of her Boobesboro Trilogy. I enjoyed Ryder's personality.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Perfect Hope?

I was very moved by the soliloquy of that one day at Antietam. Ryder was dreaming it but the narration and the words made you feel like you were there. Amazing.

What does MacLeod Andrews bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He has an excellent range. It's more exciting to listen to the words, and his inflections.
Excellent narration.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Small town, three brothers, ghost.

The Perfect Ending

Well I have to say I wasn’t too sure about this trilogy from the start, but as I listened on,the story and it’s characters grew on me.I loved the on going ghost story between Lizzy and the love she lost,Billy. The mystery unfolded as everyone found their own love and happiness and helped Lizzy reunite with her long lost love Billy.I was also surprised that Ryder turned out to be as soft as he is gruff,he’ not the sexy butthead he came off as being..Sexy,definitely,butthead...no.It was fun and enjoyable to listen I’m glad I gave it a chance.

Third times a charm.

I liked this story in the vein of all the Nora Roberts trilogies. Always predictable with a good tie in for the all important question of “who is Billy?” Over the 3 books I have adjusted to the male narrator although I think women narrating men’s lines works better.

A perfect finale

This was the perfect ending to the Inn Boonsboro series. Ryder and Hope had the perfect amount of snark and sass. The conclusion of Lizzie and Billy’s story was sweet as well. Overall one of my favorite NR trilogies.

MacLeod Andrews is the best narrator!

This is one of Nora's best, along with The Villa, the Chesapeake Bay series and Homeport. But with MacLeod Andrews narrating, this trumps all. He is the best!!
