Publisher's summary

It's been 12 years since Tru Bennett last saw Jake Wethers, her former best friend and boy she once loved. Jake Wethers, sexy, tattooed, and deliciously bad lead singer, and brains behind The Mighty Storm, one of biggest bands in the world, left Tru with a broken heart when he moved from England to America with his family when they were both 14. Sent to interview Jake for her music column by the magazine she works for, they are both unprepared for the sparks that fly the instant they reconnect. Only, there's a complication to their instant feelings for one another - Will, Tru's boyfriend of two years.

Then Jake makes Tru a job offer she can't refuse - travelling the world with him and his band. But taking the job means leaving Will behind, and being on the road with the band means spending an inordinate amount of time with Jake. Is Tru strong enough to resist the delectable bad boy who once held her heart so completely, or will she willingly risk it all for one night with the world's most notorious womanizer?

rollercoaster

the story was way to intense! I was flipping out for most of the story, and! I'm very sorry to say this, I can usually always get some sense of why the heroine is giving the guy a hard time, but ...Tru was on a whole other level! she made it so difficult for the guy at every turn! she was always over thinking, or maybe just liked torturing the poor guy! like c'mon! how much did the guy have to beg!? aghh she acted like such a witch!

Don't Pass this one up!!!

Would you listen to The Mighty Storm again? Why?

This was a great listen.... it has every emotional imaginable... including forgiveness.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jake by far ..... he has so many emotional hurdles to over come.

Which scene was your favorite?

The tear jerking emotional time in the hotel room between Tru and Jake.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when Tru found Jake with another woman.

Any additional comments?

This book was a huge surprise. I get tired of of two part stories, but I definitely think this one is a great one to follow!! I cannot wait to read part two!

Jake and Tru have captured my heart...

Would you listen to The Mighty Storm again? Why?

Yes....I love Jake and Tru and I love their story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Mighty Storm?

Not for any good reasons...but the Mr. Brightside scene...ripped my heart out.

What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?

I loved her accent, she sounded a little too old to really pull Tru off for me and I don't know if it's the recording or her but she had a little bit of a lisp at times - but British accents = awesome in my book, so I'm really just being nit-picky

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Just everything that makes Tru and Jake who they are - I just love them to bits and pieces.

Any additional comments?

Great beginning to a fantastically addictive series - I really can't say too many times how much this book sucked me in.

I tried to like this one.

This book is so full of toxic situations and selfish characters. I couldn't like either main character no matter how hard I tried.

Not as good as I hoped

Started out really good and had high hopes it would continue throughout. Details were brushed passed quickly where other less important ones were given too much detail to be relevant.
Amazing narration by Justine Eyre

Oh, the feels...

Loved this book. I felt the emotions as the characters did. New author for me, and I'm planning on reading whatever else she's written. ❤❤❤

Good Rekindling Romance with a Rocker

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I liked this book for a couple of reasons. There was reconnection from when they were younger, a sweet kind of romance, and a rockstar. There have been a few other rock star book series that seemed a little stronger in angst and story line--that hooked me in a bit more, but I will definitely get Wethering the Storm and see what happens! So, yes, I would recommend this to a friend!

Which character – as performed by Justine Eyre – was your favorite?

I liked this narrator as Tru Bennett, but the guys voices, especially Jake's voice, lacked a little. He needed a sexy, "I'M A ROCK STAR!" kinda voice, and it was just not there. His voice made me think Jake lacked self confidence (more than what issues were in the story line).

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the ending, it surprised me a bit and it was full of emotion (Sorry, I don't do spoilers), but it was jam packed with deep emotions for both Tru and Jake.

A rock romance

What did you love best about The Mighty Storm?

I love the boy meets girl...boy moves and loses girl. Girl shows up...boy will never, ever, let go again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jack was my favorite character. He is real. He says what he thinks, and is flawed, but wants love.

Have you listened to any of Justine Eyre’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It's always been you Tru. Your my June.

FMC is hard to like

FMC is so wishy washy. I want this man, no I want this man. Back and forth. No spine, no conviction. It’s actually exhausting. Could have taken 5 chapters off of this book if you took some of the angst out. It was a bit much.

Torn Between Two Lovers Goes on a Bit Long

I enjoyed most of the book. Characters are well developed - not an especially easy task to do when writing from only one characters point of view. However, I too was ready.to slap Tru as her angst and waffling about what she wanted went on a bit long. Could have used the perspective of Jake in one or two chapters maybe. Excellent narrator. Don't know that I'll be listening to it over again any time soon, but it was a book that's potentially worth a try if you're looking for something a little different in a romance novel.
