Awesome Book!!

This story was excellent. It had a little of everything. The only thing I didn’t love was the female narrator. The story made up for it.

Worth the credit

I consider myself knowledgeable about romance novels. With over 1600 Audible books in my cloud. This book was right there. Fact based story where the author knows it or not. The authors research was spot on with the abusers and the victim. Most of the time it’s not right but this book pulled me in and I listen for the entire book. Well done!

Needed more of the male perspective...

While I know the majority of this story was centered around Carrie, I think it needed to have more chapters dedicated to an adult River trying to get through his days. Sebastian York knows how to pull it all together, but most of his reading time was spent as the child River, not the grown River. Nothing against Savannah - though she tends to be a little breathy sometimes. I think it just would have better balanced this book since they both have/had demons in their past that they were trying to exorcise. There are instances of abuse, rape, child abuse and such - but thankfully they do not go into explicit detail on that. However, it could trigger things so I would send a slight be wary to those that could be affected. Overall the book was good, and I was happy with the ending. A lot of serious issues here, but it was very well done and will have you rooting for Carrie and River.

Amazing story

This was fantastic. I laughed and cried and laughed some more. Carrie and River share a very painful past. Both hurt by someone who was suppose to love them. The epilogue made me cry and laugh. Fantastic narration as always by these two. I highly recommend this audiobook

So Good... I Couldn't Stop!

This is my first book by this author and I can say it won't be the last.
I really enjoyed this story and the characters!! The real demons they both have to fight to move forward and to find what is on the other side.

This story had from the first page all the way until the last.
The audio is really good and I couldn't stop listening to it!

Great book and narration

I didn't want this book to end. It had such sweet moments that had me smiling and and laughing out loud, and it addressed serious issues very tastefully. I really enjoyed the characters, the story line, and the pace of the book. I could feel the chemistry between the H and h. The end felt slightly rushed to me, but that could mainly be because I didn't want it to end. This was my first book by this author, but won't be my last. I'm so glad I stumbled upon it in Audible Escapes. The narrators did a great job too.
