Good story - a little unusual
Unusual historical romance story. Girl baby is saved by native American woman and raised in village in America. There is a diary that details who she is and how she became to be in America. The book story plot and the diary alternate to tell the story of the baby girl, now grown up. She is royalty and ends up in England with her wicked aunt. She meets the Lion, and he becomes her protector. Very interesting and engaging.

Good book, narrated by the whisperer
I enjoyed the story. I only wish for a different narrator.
Every time SD whispered, I cringed and there was a lot of whispering in this book.
If you can ignore that, you will greatly enjoy the story.

My new favorite Julie Garwood book
Would you listen to The Lion's Lady again? Why?
Oh yes! I love Julie Garwood's books and my previous favorites were The Bride, Prince Charming, and Saving Grace. Somehow this book surpassed all my previous favorites by far. If I could give this 6 stars I would.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Lion's Lady?
When Lyon comes home to find his shoes on the porch. I laughed so hard during this and the following scenes! And the puppy scenes! LOL

OK, that was fun!
That was a ripping great story! Murder mystery, mystical happenings, authentic (and steamy) love story, powerful hero meets his match in his brave and undaunted heroine and all with a nice portion of witty dialogue and good humor. I fell in love with Lyon and Christina and know, of course, that they will live HEA!
I highly recommend this one.
