Best Julie Garwood ever written!

Definitely a favorite! I've re-read, and listened to, this book MANY times! And I'm sure I'll do so again in the future. Julie's best in my eyes.

Fantastic tale & narration

This is a favorite author and book of mine. I was so pleased with the way it was narrated. Rosalyn is very good at helping the listener get lost in the story.

If you enjoy romantic intrigue set in the Highlands of Scotland, you will undoubtedly enjoy this title.

Entertaining

I enjoyed this audio book. I actually laughed out loud at some parts. I always enjoy the strong , funny yet sensitive heroine. The hero was swoon worthy. All and all very entertaining.

A Classic in Historical Romance

Rosalyn Landor as always does an amazing job in narration. I purchased the hard cover book when it first released and still have it on my bookshelf. The story is not just enjoyable but will have you laughing along. Love the banter between the two main characters, Alec and Jaime. Definitely an enjoyable audiobook.

Decent story not too much drama and good pacing. Rosalyn Landor is the true star here: her male voices, Scottish accent, intonation and emotion, all of it is incomparable! Enjoyable listen.

It’s got everything

She’s a sweet, compassionate girlboss with NO sense of direction and she causes like 3 wars.

He thinks she’s a riot and constantly makes fun of her (but in like a fun banter way, not in an incel kinda way).

Dude, you can just FEEL how much they like each other, even from the very beginning. They piss each other off, but they try to stay considerate of each other’s feelings.

Also, if you’re just here for the porn, this one may not be for you. There’s definitely a fair share of sex scenes, but they’re pretty brief. The real meat is in the romance. If you’re down for that, this is perf.

Overall: it’s fun, it’s dumb, and the characters are great.

So entertaining!

I found myself not being able to put it down. I laughed, smiled, giggled - such a fun listen. Loved the performance and the storyline.
